I am, like most am a massive Duffy fan, when I saw he wasnt playing, and I have to say bash was playing in midfield I was worried, he is really integral to our success, in my opinion but to anybody who went tonight how much did we miss him? He, for me controls a lot of our attacking play and is a player I would play every week, unless of course his form drops, which as yet it hasn't

He is what you want to see from a midfield player. Committed, prepared to run and have a go at taking someone on, a decent link up man and will also do a defensive job when called upon.

When i saw Duffy wasn't playing i thought Lavery would be the perfect choice he loves having a go at the oppostion and causes all sorts of problems in the oppositions box and creates good opportunities too.

Justover the moon though with the win massive 3 points that was tonight

Massive miss. First half no midfield link up play so just went long. Second half carruthers went like a 10 and we played more on floor. Lavery for Hanson helped it too.


Need Duffy back next week please !!

I just have 2 little problems with duffy - he always goes into his right foot and is very predictable, so if teams did their research then it'd be easy to keep him in their back pocket.

The second problem is the fact that I feel like he doesn't really have any urgency when he's on the ball, like when we're on the counter, or losing 1-0 or whatever, which ends up being a little problem as other teams gather re inforcements quickly or they crowd him out and he gets tackled.

Other than that he's a fab player and we got home for less than a freddo

Still scored 3 away from home without him, which shows we're not too reliant on anyone but I wouldn't be leaving a fully fit Duffy out anytime soon.

We also got to grips with the pitch in the 2nd half which was a fucking nightmare. I was worried 1st half and thought Duffy being out would cost us.

Carruthers and fleck really upped it 2nd half though and we started to take control. Lavery changed the game, we really pressed and started to get in behind them.

Freeman motm I would say, never stopped all game and some beautiful touches and link up on a horrid pitch.

Just back. Big miss in first half, with no one showing for throw ins down the right. Losing possession 3 times in the last third was poor. My main comment about first half was we were diss-jointed.

Second half we were back on it, subs as mentioned above worked. Freeman looked like scoring all half, if only he could get 50% of his crosses on target, he would be worth millions.

Great 3 points on a difficult pitch, with team changed before the start due to Duffy and then Wright. Sharpe 1st was made from nowt.

Yep, we missed him. But Carruthers definitely had a positive game.

First half we were poor, and seemed to miss Duffy badly. Samir when he first came on played like a poor mans Duffy. But in the second half we played better and he grew into the game and was much better. However overall, Duffy has the edge on Samir at the moment and deserves to start in front of him. Duffy is one of those players you don't realise just how good he is till he doesn't play! Hes a great player in league 1.
