No idea. That's why I ask. Has he got something against them? If not, why not selected? If not selected, on what grounds? Well obviously because he's the manager and makes the decisions. But in the present baffling circumstances whereby us complete amateurs and numpties who clearly know nothing of football having played it and watched it for five decades can't understand his decisions, then it must be right to make some enquiry? Or is it a blanket In Chris we Trust? Cos I don't and never have any manager.

As for Wit, as approachable as he may be I suspect I know what response I would get and possibly rightly so.
 
Ah well. We're 5 days into the season so I'm going to say it'll be reyt.

I was going on your wording. "Ask what he's got against them" as opposed to "has he got anything against them" :)

I've passed opinion on Wilders selections this season as well as his tactics. Not positive, but I steered clear of conspiracy theories based on players fighting in Portugal and deliberate wind ups about a dressing room split. Which may turn out to be true of course, but without any detail some have decided its Wilder who's the bad guy. I think we owe him a bit more loyalty than that.

I didn't say he'd tell you anything, but anyone can ask rather than just comment on here.... :rolleyes:

Now we have girlfriends saying about how it's not fair their boyfriend isn't playing. stamp feet, twist hair and sulk whilst liking any tweet that agrees with them.

Wonder how the players who are playing are taking it, and their partners?
Hardly good for squad unity, no matter how valid or not the tweets are.

It’s a bit of a minor issue IMHO and suspect they’ll not do it again.

To be honest, if your wife looks anything like Duffy or Billys’ wife then they can put whatever the fuck they want on Twitter. :)

Every Tom, Dick and Harry has probably been tweeting the same thing so why is it different regards the two girls in question?
 
I agree with them and understand why they might tweet in support of their partners. Jade's made me smile.

Just saying if you call into question your partner's employers judgement in public, it's somewhat unwise and does their partner no favours.

These comments from Mrs Sharp and Mrs Duffy are divisive but understandable . Sharp and Duffy are both in their thirties but who has replaced them in the team ? Is Sharp better than Clarke or McGoldrick ? Yes . Is Duffy better than Lundstram or Evans ? Yes . I am especially annoyed by the omission of Duffy who is surely the most creative midfielder we have . Why not start him and if he begins to tire replace him with Woodburn who is also a creative player ? Give them a half each , then select whoever performs the best to start . If they both perform start them both ! As for Sharp the same applies - start him and replace him if necessary . Clarke had a purple patch last season but he is unlikely to repeat it . Wilder's faith in him is surely misplaced . As regards finishing Sharp is definitely better .
I do not know what has happened but clearly there are personalities involved . Or is it just that Wilder is trying to prove a point about the players he has signed ? Whatever the reason it needs to stop before too much damage is done . The players who are not performing ( Clarke , Lundstram and Egan if not more ) need to be dropped and someone else given a chance .

Whilst I think Wilder should be given a chance to straighten this out the above quote attributed to him is ridiculous:
It's easy to say after everything ended up working out he 'enjoyed that period', he certainly would not have done if it hadn't put him in a position where he could get a pay rise twice whilst still under contract. And also after the defeat to Southend he looked like a man about to melt not somebody enjoying it.

Chris has always wanted to start with 11 who can do 90 minutes. As it isn't good having to use your subs if so & so can only do 60 mins etc. Then if get injuries there's no subs! At the end of last season he said next season.....now .....he would only start with players who tell him they can do 90 mins. Exceptions being players coming back from bad injury who need easing in. So I presumed this is what he is doing & if so I understand what he's doing. All this ageism....how old was Bob Hatton when he played virtually every game for Harry Haslam? 36 or 37 ? He was fit & kept going. A player I admired.

He was 33 when he joined United.

The big question is if he starts when will he & his legs finish? 94 mins later including injury time? They may be telling their other halves they haven't got a fitness problem over 90 mind & when it all comes out they have they may be in big trouble with other halves ! It's best to be honest with your other halves lads !
