Honestly dont mind. Instead of having to play him for 90 mins we have two excellent alternatives in holmes and brooks.
We can now send Duffy out and say 'give everything you've got'.. which is a considerable amount. Then when he gets tired, at 60/70/80 minutes, no matter, we have equally skilled fresh legs waiting to come on.
We can use Duffs more sparingly and actually get more out of him. I think it's a good situation.

That was basically the tactic at the end of last season too. Essentially the same now but with stronger alternatives.

Agreed morganselbow but I would also add to JOEYDEE s question that I think many of our players (Duffy in particular) could handle the premiership. It is normally physical strength and pace that sets PL apart from lower league players but skill, guile and intelligence always have a chance. Plus from what I have seen recently most PL teams (apart from the obvious exceptions) play such a pedestrian style that I think we could impose ourselves in many games.

I will never forget the match after Duffy had scored that goal (home game), and he did not start, but came on to run up and down the touchline about 20 minutes in. Crowd rises to a noisy standing ovation. Duffy looks around, puzzled, player with him (Carruthers?) nudges him, and must have said some thing like "they are cheering you, after last week....", it suddenly dawned on Mark Duffy what was going on, and what that goal meant to all of us, he sort of shyly smiled, and clapped back.
