Blades join race for midfielder services

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is said to have joined Reading in the race for the services of Coventry's Michael Doyle.
The Irish international midfielder is a target for the duo after a falling out with Coventry - and even the arrival of Iain Dowie as their new boss is unlikely to change his circumstances.

Doyle handed in a transfer request at the club after being left out of their squad for the game with Leicester at the weekend, but he has been recalled for the match with Southampton, Dowie's first in charge.
But it is thought a bid of £500,000 would be enough to secure the services of Doyle who is disillusioned in the aftermath of the training ground bust-up with skipper Robert Page.
The 25-year-old has made his peace with Page, who he revealed has apologised, but feels a sense of injustice about Coventry's handling of the situation.
Dont know much about him but wouldnt say no to another midfielder. Although if he likes a punch up maybe he isnt what we need.
