What's the situation with Doyle now. Is he still released or still at utd. I heard his contract didn't finish until July so technically still a blade but now clough's gone what is the situation. (infact with all players clough released)

I suspect Doyle's release was a practical straightforward bit of business, along with the exercising of or not of contract options for other players and quite possibly the work of big Mal after a bit of consultation. I suspect the dice was cast back when NC rested him from key games prior to the playoffs, then taken to be a measure to avoid a suspension. Like NC he has gone and we move on.

Hopefully our club's twin town existence with Derby County is at an end and is filed away in the recent history folder. I sincerely hope so - sloppy seconds. The Derby stuff only had any relevance when Clough was with us. Unless we feel unsure about the decision to axe him (which has been taken anyway) and are looking for some kind of weird endorsement (which we have no need of as it is nothing to do with anyone else) there is no more value to DCFC supporters views on our club than there was to the pigs views on Danny Wilson's sacking. Let's park it and move on.
