Massive credit to CW for those changes early doors tonight.

Cov packed their own half, nullified the threat down each side and showed glimpses of a threat with pacy players on the rare counter attack. Also their big, physical CB's were getting away with murder which added to the frustration.

I thought the subs were brave and clearly signalled our intent to win the game.

Clarke clattered their CB's back. Carruthers got in between em and Cov didnt know how to pick up either of them. Both played a big part in the win tonight.

Wilder - Tactical genius.

this is exactly how I saw it.

Cov were decent but again, just like against Charlton, CW makes a change that wins a game. he's on fire

Is he ever going to get one wrong?!

Agreed with Clarke coming on, but I wanted Hanson off for Chapman. But we went and won 2-0 so ultimately I can't complain.

Carruthers really made a difference and showed us what we were missing, as I believe Chapman would have - that vital ability to carry the ball and beat a man.

Agree,Clarke and Carruthers came on and we went up a couple of gears and went 4-3-3..Thought Fleck was brilliant second half.

Was Chapman even on the bench?
Can't remember hearing his name.

Edit: stand corrected, yes he was. I'd have considered putting him on tonight.
But Clarke was phenomenal when he came on!

I'd already said he'd bring Clarke on but thought it would be a bit later but didn't imagine the changes he would make. He really is looking something special as time goes on.

Thought t'owd Clarkeo made a difference and I always liked Carruthrers as well

Wilder sees how the game is going, isn't afraid to make positive changes (his own words) and when he saw how the game was going, brought Carruthers and Clarke on.

Sounded like we were very nervy before we scored. Was almost hoping for a Coventry goal to get us going. Turns out we didn't need to get angry, we just needed Clarke

Hanson, like everybody else thought he was going off, the substitutions were like an 80th minute call, 0-0 we need to win so bollocks to it win or bust tactic but it was in the first 5? It obviously worked, it went from an extremely tight almost boring game into a wide open contest, they did not know how to cope with it, the only suprise there were not more goals for both teams with the amount of space both teams enjoyed, the answer for them is its probably why they are where they are, not a tactic we will be seeing next season I reckon but well done Chris, you made it happen.
