Don't mention the bloody play offs!

Epic Fail, April Fool was last August. Playoffs indeed! they're the province of quality sides like the mighty Walsall.

Seriously, that's the second time in 11 attempts we've won against sides in the top 6 but they've all been shite. Crewe gave us the sternest test over half an hour of football that we've endured all season, yet they're bottom and Walsall are pushing for the top. There's the frustration. The league is shit but we can't get out of it.

Don't mention the play offs.

I mentioned if once but I think I got away with it, anyway the wife wants to watch Ant and play off .....I mean Dec now so have to use the iPad to watch the end of the Liverpool vs Spurs play off... Sorry I mean match.

Inspirational quotes pinned to Nigel's wall #1...

(
Kobe's Lakers are the 2nd worst team in basketball right now.)

When did he do that?
There was a thread on here about a Twitter message he posted where he implies the team haven't been backed as well as taking it upon himself to mention something about blades fans and giving up. Granted he surprisingly isn't stupid enough to say it outright but it's probably the next nearest thing.

So you are talking about hearsay, because you didn't actually see anything yourself? So he didn't slag off the fans then, as you originally stated?

I am far from Adkins biggest fan but that is a very broad interpretation of what he said.

So you saw it? You were saying earlier that it was based on a thread on here?

Anyway, you class that as "slagging the fans off"?
I said there was a thread on here about the Twitter post, hence I saw the Twitter post. I don't think anyone would even think about mentioning the words giving up if he wasn't thinking that's what some fans had done/thinking of doing. After the support the fans have given the team this season of all seasons I certainly wouldn't class it as praising them.

That's fine, but seeing as you don't attend matches because you *cough* "sold your season ticket", that's a bit rich coming from you isn't it?

I didn't ask you if you classed it as praising them, I asked you if you considered it "slagging off" the fans?

Yes I would.

Just like I mentioned the fans as a whole and not me as an individual.

Yes I would.

Ah, so you are a spokesman for the fans now? Was that in the hope that someone would agree with you on here?

Just interested in which part of my post you infer this from?

Where you want to mention the "fans as a whole" and not you as an individual

"...Just like I mentioned the fans as a whole and not me as an individual...."

You missed a great game today, not sure which team you support, but United played well.

Yes, and this was in reference to my opinion that the fans as a whole have shown good support throughout the season. I think it's more than a little daft for you to interpret that as if I'm acting as though I'm a fan spokesman.

In case anyone wants to torture themselves:

The club then qualified for the League One play-offs through an 88th-minute equaliser by club captain Cliff Byrne against promotion rivals Tranmere Rovers on the last day of the regular season.

Scunthorpe beat MK Dons on penalties after a 1–1 aggregate draw in the semi-finals, before beating Millwall in the Wembley final 3–2, with two goals from Matthew Sparrow and one from Martyn Woolford, to achieve promotion back to the Championship at the first time of asking.

2 places off with 6 games to go. Got to still be on, surely.
