Like most of us, I’ve been in all sorts of states at away games, and never been refused entry, but I don’t act like a bellend. There’s more to this story than him being refused entry due to just alcohol.

Let’s be honest, walking around the back of the Kop singing “what a shithole” isn’t the best of ideas, he’s lucky not to be seeing flashing blue lights of one kind or the other.

Twice last season at Birmingham and Preston I was in a right state. The stewards and police pulled me over and told me to get some snap and sober up. I wasn't a dick, I got a burger and chips and stood with them. They said to me "you've not kicked off, get yourself in". Could have easily told me to do one.

A mate of mine does that trip quite often and I think there's one that leaves (via Donny as you say) just after 10, gets in about 1 am.
