just listened to SOD himself and nowhere has he said in his interview that he is ruling himself out.

Said SUFC are taking the responsible decision of focusing on the busy Xmas fixtures before continuing their process, which he said seemed the sensible thing to do. He said he hasn't been involved in the manager process, but didn't say anything whatsoever about ruling himself out, or that he he wouldn't be involved. Nor did he say he is happy at DR, or his desire to finish the job he set out to do at the Keep Moat

May still be game on :)

Exactly, nowt to get in a tizz about whatsoever. It'll be sorted in early January.

I would imagine the Football Gods are about to have their way with the Blades Nation once again, Tin Hats on, Clinch, and Hang on for the Ride, its probably gonna be Messy (No, not that Messi)

At some level this "make up your own assumption about anything, and then trash it" is quite entertaining. A real talent for turning anything upside down. I imagine they (SUFC) did decide to follow a process, and are following a process, and the world of contracts being such fun, most people are not willing to cast their careers to the wind. So, imagine, we might have to wait a week. Doesn't seem like much to me if, like Warnock, the new guy hangs around for a decade. The rotating door is doing us no good and that's for sure. Will support whoever comes in, once they are a Blade like me. UTB!!!

Reading between the lines and murmerings elsewhere, SO'D might have got cold feet and decided that there would be too much pressure. If that's the case, good luck to him and let's move on. Having said that, if other rumours are to be believed and he's still down for an interview next week then who knows. Bottom line is, we need someone 100% committed to the cause, not someone looking over his shoulder all the time wondering if the fans are going to get at him after a couple of defeats.

If not SO'D, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top as there's no-one mentioned so far who really ticks all the boxes, with the three most important factors seemingly experience in this division, the ability to bring the kids through and 'continuing the change in style'.

Phil Brown does all that, sans compo.

Just what I'm thinking Raul. We're not going to miss out on him twice surely.
