Firstly Sorry. Those who bang on about former players returning do my head in, they tend to have no relevance other than nostalgia.

But in this instance I think a season long loan for DCL could be great for all parties, he seems to be in and around the Everton team but I think Everton will be looking for a Championship loan next season for him weather or not we can guarantee him the games that Everton will require Im not sure, but we will be looking for a forward.

As for Stephen Quinn, he surely has to be available on a free, plenty of Championship experience and plays with the heart and desire that Wilder loves.

Two strong additions for nowt in terms of fee.

Wouldn't surprise me if we went for Quinny. But it's hard to see how he'd fit in as a regular with Fleck here.

I don't think the idea would be to fit him in, I think he would come to add depth, I imagine he still lives locally too

Dcl ,no thanks ,Quinn ,maybe in Duffys role but only because Duffy doesn't seem to be able to play every game.

I have no idea why DCL gets game time at Everton, and would be really disappointed if we weren't looking for better than that.

I hold my hands up to thinking we got a good deal out of that one, but he gets game time for a reason, Ronald Koeman obviously sees a player in him. I imagine the players we are after will have a lot of fans dissapointed and asking who. but I trust Wilder to surprise everyone with recruitment. DCL has to be a lot better than people here think

I don't think Everton fans agree with Koeman either.

I like Quinn but he doesn't fit the profile of the hungry improving player we need to focus on. As for DCL, Wilder made his call on him and I don't think much will have changed.

Sorry to piss on your parade and idea . No chance both not good enough . Football and opinions , doesn't it drive you crazy when they are shite

We've already got better than both and if Mr Wilder is looking to improve the team, neither DCL or Quinn will be considered. DCL wasn't good enough for us at the start of this season and from what I've seen, hasn't got any better. Quinny would be a nostalgic return but I still don't see him as better than Coutts, Fleck, Duffy or Carruthers.

DCL when I have seen him for Everton looks so out of his depth and I just don't know what koeman is seeing that I am missing. It would be a no from me.

Everton pick DCL because it's what Everton do - remain stuck in a 'safe' position in the PL with no ambition to step up. It's been going on since the lamentable David Moyes (about to be found out yet again) took over at Everton 15 years ago. Total honours won? None.

Quinn...no chance ....Carruthers is here to replace Duffy when he's deemed past it but I don't think that is yet. Unsure about DCL but we r gonna need a big pacy striker and he fits the bill

A "striker" who doesn't score goals doesn't fit the bill mate

Luton Shelton was a big pacy striker........apparently

Don't rate DCL myself

No thanks. Move forward, don't look back.

Also I don't think we need either of them. I'm still unconvinced by DCL and Quinn wouldn't get in our team now.

Quinn was slow before. He's not going to have become quicker in his 30's.

I thought we had their pants down with DCL....Quinn was always a nearly man at the best of times and Caruthers is going to be much better to have in the team as things currently are. So no thanks to either and it just makes me realise how far CW has moved us on aready

DCL on a short term loan with the option to extend might be worthwhile. Quinn on a one year contract on low wages could provide good back up and experience with the possibility of a coaching role down the line.

I doubt either players will accept those terms as other clubs can offer more, so think Wilder will probably look elsewhere
