Think he will get a fair few minutes on the pitch this season as Wilder really rates him and obviously had him on loan at Northampton, would be happy to see him chip in around the 10 goal mark :D

He only started him 7 times last season ,he will find it difficult to get 5 goals ,I reckon he will be loaned out most of the season. Seen nothing in him to suggest he is anywhere near enough ready yet (if ever) for this level.

I'd just seen that interview and was about to post the same. Seems really likeable and no wonder liked by many at the club. Hope he can go to fulfill his potential with us.

I don't think it's unreasonable to be encouraged by the prospect of DCL. He bagged an impressive 5 goals in 7 starts for Northampton.

Think asking 10 goals of him may be a little much to ask, hopefully he can get himself in the running for a place in the 11 this year.

He comes across as a brilliant lad, one who wants to learn.

There's something about him, he's just got to keep sucking in all the knowledge he can from the players he's playing with. Let's not forget he scored goals aplenty last year in his first proper taste of league football. He's still only 19.

I knew a kid at school who could get served in pubs at 13 and started going bald at 16.

I knew at lass at school who had a two kids at five and drove a taxi at nine. She owned her own niteclub at twelve.

Mind you, this was Gleadless Valley, like. :)

I like Calvert Lewin as he seems to have all the tools as a mobile front man, however has come across in games as a guy stuck in headlines. This is not how Northampton fans see him though, so it could be he really didn't know his role when coming on for us. I see this 5th striker as something which might happen towards the end of the window, giving Calvert Lewin the opportunity to come out of the traps in pre-season.

I think you are confusing him with a previous striker, a certain Mr Chedwyn Evans.

Hopefully not from the players in last seasons squad, Sharp being the exception, or he will end up an overpaid, heartless, wank stain on the history of our club.

I think we might know the same person, did he play in the 5-side at the pitz woodburn road?
Don't think so. Tbh, there's one in most schools, in most years. I can think of three off the top of my head and I left school in 84
