The things I’d do to have a mooch round that fucker
There was never very much in there, scarfs, bobble hats, a few badges maybe pens and programmes. The things I’d do to have a mooch round that fucker
Yeh pissed up it a few timesIn the mid 80s ish did Wednesday have a club shop under / in the hole in the road, or did I dream that?
Remember it well. Still got some souveniers from there !
There was also the one in the Coop (Castle House)There was a Blades shop inside House of Fraser / TJ Hughes on the High Street too in the mid nineties.
There was a big upgrade in the summer of 1997 as I remember picking up one of the new shirts in a temporary shop (portakabin) in the car park. I cannot remember though whether that was when they went from the old counter set up (where you had to ask for stuff rather than look yourself!), or whether it was a layout change.Must be up there as one of the longest running clothes shops in Sheffield at this point?
You are forgetting Golden Goal.Prior to this , the only income streams were matchday receipts, a proportion of away match receipts and matchday programs.

Hi Bert,You are forgetting Golden Goal.
Bert never bought one.
Yeah equivalent to the lard arse who usually sits on the corner of cherry St selling sides. There was never very much in there, scarfs, bobble hats, a few badges maybe pens and programmes.
Bloody hell I'd totally forgotten about the police station! I swear it was still in situ into the early 90s. Someone must have a photoI just about remember the corner shop half way up John St that’s now a house. But mostly recall the caravan on the junction of John and Shoreham. Never that big and don’t know if it sold kits as always went to House of Barrington to buy kits from the source. Shop Moved under South stand when it all got filled in early 80s. However recall the very end part, where shop entrance is now, was originally a police station!
Am trying to remember the name of the friendly old lady. I read that she was a Wendy fan.I remember the old one at the lane in the 1980s. Seemingly staffed entirely by one old lady. Once saw Dave Bassett and some of the players helping to carry loads of umbrella tracksuits into there when I went to try to buy some away programmes.
