I live amongst them, I hate their smug arrogance, I never want them to win any match because it makes our local a no go zone for us on a Saturday night

Draw please. As much as its funnier seeing Wednesday lose they have took a few points off the teams up there this season such as West Brom and Leeds I recall. Are we saying you'd rather West Brom have two more points now and Leeds two more from the previous results against Wednesday? It might be funny on the day seeing Wednesday lose but I don't want West Brom winning to stay as far above as they are now.

Despite my best attempts above I still don't want Wednesday winning though!

don't care anything at s6, only focus on us. sometimes others failure is a gift, but that's often on a background of own failure.rivalry is fine, but the important thing is to cheer your own,and goes more important when we 're not at our best. fact: when we play well we get behind the team, when we're not the support make a difference.Derby-after the brawl-new standard for rest of the season. 12th man make an impact

You already know the answer. ;)

Stranger things have happened. I mean they were lucky to get a point at Hillsborough. The snag is that it would help Leeds, but you can't have everything.

I hope they get beaten so badly that they have to start every game 0-3 down for the rest of the season.

No - their result on Saturday will not affect our final league position at this stage. If there was only 3 games left them maybe, but at this stage, no way.

We’ll take care of our own business & wish every
After doing us a favour and beating Boro on boxing day , next up for our porkie neighbours is West Brom , I never want to see them win bit if they pulled this one off , first of all I will be surprised , and secondly at least they will do us a bit of a favour ( if we do win ) .

Don’t mix spirits & cough medicine WB it can fuck up your rational thought

i generally want every team apart from us to draw every match. Wednesday don't get any special thoughts

Are you on glue?
Unless a win for them would guarantee us promotion then I want them to lose. Every single time.

This thread is so disheartening because some fans have clearly given up already on us finishing ahead of West Brom and feel they are superior to us. I think that's really premature. There was another thread recently talking about the automatic places having gone already. That's not just premature - it's absolute nonsense.

If you live your life on a see-saw of emotion, where 1 win, or 1 loss, tilts you in opposite directions then I can understand why you might come to these conclusions. But the reality is that we have been ahead of West Brom for most of the season, up until quite recently. In the game v West Brom the other night, were it not for some awful finishing, we would have been 3 or more goals up by half-time and that second half comeback by them, in which they looked the better team, wouldn't have happened.

That's not to say they don't have more money, or better players, than we do. I'm not disputing that for one minute. But to come to the conclusion that a fellow promotion rival, who are just 4 points ahead of us with 20 odd games to go, are so "out of sight" that we've no chance of catching them...I'm sorry...that's plain barmy and very negative.

Do I want Wednesday to beat them? I don't mind if they do! It would be good for us and Wednesday are so far behind us anyhow it wouldn't make much difference. The only thing that matters really is that we keep winning our games, because if we do that, then we will erode the gap between us and others at the top of that table - and those that are saying today that the automatic places have gone can come back on here and look totally silly, which will be fun!:D

I want them to draw 0-1
I have checked your mathmatical calulation on this

(Simmo's pen kick is the only thing that has defied the above thus far)

So you can see that at the mid point on the graph (in the current league campaign) this formulation of the above fits the pigs perfectly.

I want every match for the rest of this season to finish a draw apart from ours which I'd be happy to win 4 or 5 nil

It does but you will have to incorporate a standard deviation to the same graph and an estimation of uncertainty for it to have any validity.

I really don’t care at this stage in the season, I always enjoy the ‘Sheffield double’ when we win and they lose

However, if it was the last game of the season and we could go if they won then it would be pleasurable

They're an odious bunch that don't live in the real world and try to convince themselves of their own importance.

In reality, the genuinely big clubs don't give them a second thought, their attendances are bang average, their squad is ageing, overpaid and devoid of any creativity and very little quality.

Every defeat they can suffer is welcomed, to help them to realise how toss they truly are.

Presumably those where a pig win would guarantee our promotion

Nope always want the pigs from Swillsborough to lose every game and end up in the conference

West Brom are serious rivals to us in terms of promotion. Wednesday are not. Irrespective of how we do against Blackburn tomorrow, we will be three points better off viz-a-viz WBA if Wednesday beat them than we would be if they beat Wednesday. So, given that I do not hate Wednesday, never have, never will, and given that I want the best for United, I would be quite happy to see the Owls win tomorrow’s game.

I appreciate that that puts me in a minority on here but there you go.

The cap-doffing toward WBA in this thread is matched only by the absolutely massive bladeyness.
