This is an update to the back him or sack him. Do you have confidence in Blackwell?

Choose from the 4 options and give an explnation (if you want).

**Note: this has stemmed from discussion in the can Blackwell win the fans back forum**

what 4 options are they then?

Edit: Ah they're there now :) I voted for option 2. Be interesting to see how long he lasts with the fans on his back this season.

I think we'll do ok though.

Ive opted for option 2 "Not sure, I'll give him another season" as it was the closest to my point of view. Personally I would have preferred the option of "Not sure, I'll give him until Christmas"..........

As I stated in the other thread, I like the guy but I'm not convinced by the manager and I fear for his long term future at the club. What appears to be a blatant lack of backing by the board (in my eyes) in terms of allowing him only to bring in freebies and loans, it leaves me with the nagging feeling that he isnt a million miles away from the chop. Indeed many supporters feel he's had enough chances and I sense that from the drop in team investment, the directors consider this to be his last chance as well.

He simply has to have us challenging for the top 6 throughout the season. If we're lagging in the bottom half come November/December time I cant see him being around for much longer. That isnt my wish at all. Its just genuinely what I think will happen under that scenario. Sadly for KB I dont think he has the squad at his disposal to achieve the minimum expectation. He really has to get the very best out of his players.....now more than ever..........

Not even up for debate
The mans not a winner
He is a bully, liar and an arrogant individual who cares only for himself
He blames everyone and anyone, has no respect for the players and sucks up to the board when they snap their fingers as all he's interested is keeping his job.!
Get rid now or another season down the pan!!!

And your evidence for these two comments is ?

As for sucking up to the Board...they are his bosses . Most people do what their bosses tell them to do as they are in charge

we should have got rid of him before the end of last season, he`s been given no money for transfers and bring in more loans. i think some of our singings have been ok under the circumstances that McCabe is`nt provideding any funds. we will just have to get behind your team and hope we get it right... UTB 4ever

fook McCabe off to wigwam bring their chairman here ...............job sorted.

I've gone for give him another go, as far as I'm concerned it'd new season, new start.

Not sure if it will be a full season though, for me it's not about results but seeing us put in the effort and try to play a bit of football.

A little from pot 1 and a little from pot 2. I've gone for "Not sure" as I can't hand on my heart say he's the exactly the kind of manager we need at the lane, but under present difficult circumstances he is doing a good job. Kept us top half, cut our wage bill and had to deal with the mother of all injury crises (crisises? No idea.) last year.

Yes he's made some bad decisions and I don't agree with all his signings but I think he's a decent Championship manager and should be given a chance to show that last season was a one-off. Also I don't buy the whole Yes-man label on Blackie. He spend most of last season complaining very publicly about not being given any money to spend and not having a big enough squad. As far as I know Yes-men don't go around bitching to the local press about their employers.

There is no evidence. It is simply an attack on the manager's character which is motivated by a lack of belief in his managerial skills.

I have my doubts about him as a manager as well, but I have seen only two or three people on here attempt to accuse his character and decency. Surprise, surprise its those that are his biggest critics. Funny that the people who have worked with him over the years never say these things..........

Well said Lou and that is why we need a 'Dont want to vote' vote

Email linz or Foxy. I believe they have the necessary Jedi powers to sort it out.

The evidence is there every time the useless, obnoxious chuff opens his gob.

Blackwell Out.

I see the 'vast majority' currently stands at 9% Mic :D

I think you'll agree it is worrying that our great chairman thinks it is right to go into a term with 6% fully behind the manager.

Think I said 'thousands are dead against' the manager. I stand by that, just! Dig out my exact quotes please!!?? I did say all in my opinion etc!!!

How many do you think were 'fully behind' Warnock in the summer of 2005 ?

Not many, wouldn't try and dispute that at all. If that's the best you can come up with though as a reason why Blackwell is still in charge you are really scraping the barrel

Mic, if KB took us up to this season, convincingly with 90 points and some great attacking football, would you change your mind about him?

Many more than those who are 'fully behind' Blackwell now, I'd wager. I remember that final home match v Millwall vividly, not to mention the bile which St Neil and his wife and kids took. The memories of the 2002/3 season were still bright, and the obvious disappointment was there, but even though we hardly played like Brazil, it was still reasonably entertaining.

That's the big difference for me. The last couple of years have been like taking Mogadon, and whilever Blackie's in charge, it's going to be the same.

It's a big word for two letters, "if". For me, if that were to happen, then I'd have to change my mind. I would be foolish not to, though I'd still have some scepticism ;) The thing is though, that there's more chance of me humping Beyoncé this evening than that happening.

Yes.

I'd offer to sit outside Lion and let em all chuck sponges at me (I stress sponges, not pint pots) for half an hour before next home game if that happens.
