Do you find it hard to watch us on T.V?

Well, worried old age seems to mean that when I'm at BDTBL these days I seem to spend much of the match looking at clock or watch to see if we have enough time to score or alternatively how long remains to keep the opposition out. 😬

On the other hand watching on tv I don't seem to clockwatch so much, but the experience does seem to transform me from a mild mannered reasonable gent into a foul mouthed, foaming at the mouth loon. 🤯

Given I already have high blood pressure issues maybe I should instead see if the movie channels are showing "Waterloo" or "Day of the Jackal" or suchlike and sit watching them and reciting the lines along with the cast. It would probably calm me down and extend my life considerably.

Never watch us on TV . If I can't make the game I listen to the radio Sheffield commentary . Which at times is purgatory ( not the commentary) they build up the excitement then you hear the disappointment in their voices before you hear the final outcome of, "Norwoods wonderful ball throughhhh, oh what a poor choice from Mcburnie why didn't he slip it through for Doyle"
Blackburn Saturday; " Oh what a break out, 4 against 2" you just knew it would end up in the back of the net.
So hopefully they've got coverage tonight. Their disappointment puts years on you.
I listened to the Blackburn game on Radio Sheffield on Saturday. What a profound change in Carl Asaba's tone from the first half - "that was brilliant Premier League football!" - to the second half - "awful", "dreadful", "oh no", "why's he done that", "terrible", etc. 😕

I hate watching us on the box. I’m ten times more jittery than I am at a game and viewing it on the soulless red button is even worse. Very often if things aren’t going well (like last Saturday) I’ll turn it off and revert to checking the score App for the last half hour to see if it changes our luck. I wouldn’t dream of walking out early at a game, it’s almost like the bond isn’t there on the box.

Then again, even TV is better than the radio for me. I haven’t listened to a game in decades cus every time I switched on it would sound like we were about to concede. 😱

Well i do.
I'm walking in and out of rooms, taking the dog outside and having the odd peep at the scoreline.
I guess the pressure is really on after having such a big lead that it's getting to me.
The next few weeks will be torture.
Guess i'm not the only one.

With two toddlers I find it hard to watch owt on the TV these days. That said, poopy nappies have been a welcome distraction from our matches of late.

Very relatable, my boy copies my stance while I'm standing and I love it
Weird ain’t it. Wouldn’t dream of standing up to watch anything else on tv but our games, I simply can’t sit down

Good on your lad for copying

I'm calm as anything watching live, watching on tv I'm as nervous as hell, its fkn annoying

Kick every ball. Twitch at headers for corners etc. Lunge forward if we get a decent chance.
Every game I tell myself to just sit back, relax and not get too stressed.
Never happens.

To aid the 17,000 people wondering whether the grammar is correct in the original question, sadly, no, it should be:

“Do you find it hard to watch us on T.V.?”

You’re welcome. Sleep well.

Hate watching on TV found it so stressful recently didn't notice how anxious I got when I drank but now it seems to push me to the edge of my limits even to the point I can't sleep afterwards
Whereas at the game I feel totally different the shouting and singing seems to get it out of my system

Its twatting hard listening to commentary on Radio Sheffield with either Giddins or Staton faux pigs loving our demise.Adam Oxley is the only one who i can listen too.

The post is referring to watching It live on tv you know. it's no different than being there.
I'm with maidmarion on this. I'd far rather watch the game live in the stadium than live on TV. TV only shows what's on camera but in the stadium it's possible to look around the whole pitch and see what's developing. I know it's good to see things from different camera angles but it's usually possible to do that later. Watching in the stadium you get the atmosphere and a few silly comments whereas on TV you have to listen to commentators and pundits endlessly pointing out the obvious (to be fair occasionally the not so obvious).

Watching Plymouth/Derby instead and wait for our result

It’s so different to being there…..
For one you can’t see the whole pitch. You don’t get the atmosphere and if I watch it on the tv I can get up or switch it off…….
