Do we stand a chance at Fulham?

We didn't lose to Hull because of team selection or formation, it was down to several players unable to do the basics on the same evening.

And, of course, Hull is a fair and proper representation of our standards and the manager’s performance. It’s only right (in S2) to waffle on in terms of ‘if we play like...’ and then choose a wholly uncharacteristically rubbish performance.

But at home they've won their last 8.

Those of us who are pessimistic by nature will say they are in unstoppable home form and will beat us.

Those who are optimistic by nature will say that all winning runs come to an end and they are due a defeat. Why not against us.

Thing is it could either way or be a draw.

Fulham have several rather fast black men, something we struggle against.

I don't know why acknowledging that our opponents are a very good side shows an inferiority complex.

We're a quality side on our day and we'll always be in with a shout.

But, I think Fulham are better than us at the football.

Sorry.

But we have a 'Blackman'.
Does that give us a small chance????

The players should not need a wake-up call for this game. If we work them as hard as we did at the Lane, pass the ball quickly and forwards, put a few good "strong" tackles in early on their better players, then I think we can do them.

1 playing bad is the players fault. 11 playing bad is the managers . Similarly if they play well. Hull and Reading respectively.
If we're to go up teams like Fulham need sweeping aside. So tonight's game is pivotal for both teams therefore 1 -1 draw

What about 2 players playing poorly? Otherwise covered all your bases. If only your descriptions were as easily explained, but I think we'd all accept a draw, so let's see how we compete. If the Blades give their all then I doubt anyone will complain (too much).

The way I see it is that we would meet either Cardiff or Fulham at some point in the play-offs. So I don't rate our chances against either. Warnock would love to stick one on McCabe and has done his homework right for the remainder of the season. He has paid massively over the odds for Madine but knew this is what he needed. I doubt we have enough to beat Fulham over two legs or in the final. So I'm not bothered whether we get to the playoffs or not (auto has gone). I think we have had an amazing season so happy from now on besting the pigs and Leeds, some great games and Wilder has had a good look at the division. I think we will do well next season finishing higher than this season.
So whatever happens tonight I'm happy overall. What I do like though is that Wilder will not be happy with not making the playoffs or losing in the playoffs which is a great trait to have as a manager to be so competitive and not happy with consolidation.

Fulham would have to have an off night for us to get anything and they haven't had many of those recently.
Hopefully they don't score too many in the process.

I thought I was a pessimist! :)

Or is this a reverse jinx???

We are second favourites by a lot. But so were Bolton against us. Shit happens. Utb

Well there we go. They’re a lot better than us, as most of us knew.

Fulham are on a completely different level to us tonight as we feared they would be!!!. Oh well onwards and upwards. UTB

Well that was like trying to play Fifa on the hardest setting. We knew what we were trying to do, we understand the game fully, unfortunately, it's just too hard.

Fulham and Wolves are head and shoulders above everybody else in the league.

Hope they get 2nd place.

We got schooled by a better footballing team.

Sorry Pinchy we have to doff the cap to them today.
