I would much sooner play a team that has won eight in a row than one who has lost eight in a row. Football has its own rule against perpetuities. Sequences end.

Interesting game, in reality you would think looking at the side they have and form it would be a straightforward win for them. United as we know are in recent times inconsistent, so a lot will depend on which United turns up, if the Hull away performance is replicated for sure it could be a bad night. If the team that played so well at Villa and Derby turns up could be a much closer result.

Recent form of 10 games is a good measure of how a team is performing. Fulham are in superb form, they have got 26 out of a possible 30 points from their last 10 games, scoring 24 goals and only conceding 5! That is outstanding form.
 
The 4-5 result was bizarre. After 28 minutes we were in control at 1-0 Clarke was running them ragged and then CCV made that back pass and we were 1-2 down in the next two minutes. Clarke makes it 2-2 and then CCV and Basham go to sleep at the back post 2-3. CW admits after the game he shouldn't have gone gung ho at this point as we take off two defenders and find ourselves 2-5 down. Enter Hanson and for the last 10 minutes we play hoof ball and get two goals back. Brooks from the bench after an hour caused panic every time he ran at them, they took it in turns to try and kick lumps out of him.They all slump to the floor at the end of the game and people say what a great game it was. Maybe I'm in the minority but for me it wasn't. We conceded five goals at home and for the last hour we couldn't cope with their midfield runners. Tactically we were all over the place second half.

Can we get something? Well we caused them a lot of the problems in the first game. Baldock wasn't playing that night so he will strengthen our right hand side. Stearman missed the game and will want to prove a point against his old club. Brooks caused problems when he came on and Clarke had a stormer scoring a hat trick. Both will be a big miss if they are not in the squad on Tuesday. Fulham played on Saturday we didn't. We have to start on the front foot and be strong in midfield from the outset.

This will be our most testing away game of the season. If we aspire to make the play offs we have to give a good account of ourselves as we may end up playing them again. As others have said an interesting game and if we are to progress we should not fear this type of match.
 
Set up the same way as at Leicester, where we nearly got a result, just with Billy and Duffy starting instead of Wilson and Lafferty.

We will need some luck though but perhaps we are due some.
 
The game at the lane was crazy we gifted them some of the goals didn't they covert 5 out of 6 shots on target ? Defend like that again and we lose. I can't see it being another high scoring game but no reason we can't get a result Fulham have rode their luck in some recent games, the dingles should have got something from them and Derby had plenty of chances yesterday. Not lost in the last ten ........................ they are due a loss.

At the end of the 4-5 game at the Lane, United players turned to the opposition to shake hands - they were nearly all on the floor, totally bolloxed.....
If CW decides to play the same way, anything is possible, I’d rather go there to win than park the bus.

We always play to win every game no matter who the opposition is, it's the Wilder way. I think we'll go down there with the same first eleven that started against Reading, if all are fit that is. Go down there and look to play our normal game and get that early first goal. We should have learned enough from the reverse game at the Lane to be able to contain them better this time. I thought their style of play shocked us a bit and Wilder went a bit mad with the subs and tactics. This time I reckon we'll put in a more professional performance and get a result. Would love a smash and grab though.

The most testing away game of the season was at the Swill and we smashed ‘em. We showed how good we can be under immense pressure and did what was required. Not only did we do it but did it in such a way that will live long in the memory.

If we turn up with the same mentality we’’re well capable of getting at least a draw at Fulham. Yes they’re a top team ( which admittedly the pigs aren’t) but as you say in the home match we more than matched them.

They’ll be full of confidence but I reckon our players will feel they have a point to prove to Chris Wilder and to Fulham.

Odds of 4-1 on an away win, reckon that’s worth a fiver of anybody’s money.
 
Form would suggest a home win but yes we have a chance. First and foremost let's put in a performance and then hope a few things drop for us.

Put it this way, they certainly won't be taking us lightly.

I remember that game very well. I was one of the many blades on that big terrace behind the goal. Of course we have a chance against Fulham!!. Anything can happen as was proved on that night in 1990 when nobody gave us a chance. UTB
 



I hate writing games off but this is one where I can’t see us getting anything.

Fulham are the best side we’ve faced this season and their pace is frightening. The only hope we may have is that they played on the counter against us and tore us apart at times. It’s less likely they’ll be able to play that way at home so there is a glimmer of hope.

I hope Brooks is fit as we could do with his bit of pace and dribbling ability.
