Before the game discussing with my Dad is there really the need to water the pitch as much as we do, the surface looked patchy from where we are sat before a ball was kicked. Obviously as the game progressed there seemed to be a few slips, then the Luton keeper was Bambi on ice to everyone’s amusement. There’s also an issue with potential injury’s a slip can easily cause a pull or tear. Is it an overkill?

Completely agree. I told my lad if I could buy him Lotto studio, Mizuno Morelia followed by a pair of Adidas World Cup then he to one day would finish a season in blades super draw league with 6 goals and 2 assists.

Surely they're the stats for one match in the Blades super draw league?😉

Injury ravaged season mate, for some reason most Sundays I felt like I’d been hit by a truck and couldn’t recover in time for those 11 o’clock kick offs. Not even Jaffa cakes and lucozade could sort me out.

Actually it's not a Desso, it's now a Grassmaster.

These pitches really do need it. My lad played on there in a match where they didn't water at half time. The pitch was dry as a bone second half and didn't play right
