It would be good to get promoted so we can be reminded what Abdullah looks like, I'm sure he'll be back like a shot if we ever get promoted again. Then following relegation we can look forward to an outing from his main man Yusuf.

Who would have predicted we would finish where we did last time in the first season, or how close we would came to European Football ?,,,,
Football is a funny old game and just maybe, they learned a lot from the last time,
It's so easy to just say we are going to fail again and so why even bother trying, But the great thing about Football is you never know what's round the corner..

Would rather yo-yo like Norwich/Fulham/WBA etc. than fall through the leagues like Sunderland/Wigan, stagnate like Hull/Huddersfield/Stoke or teeter on the edge of extinction like Derby.

Yeah, without wishing to be harsh on anyone who thinks differently, answer is: take promotion every single time with no exceptions.

Worry about how you navigate the step up once you get there.

Because we navigated the last promotion so badly and it could have set us back some years . Of course i would take promotion but as Pomp's thread says there are some real hurdles to ensure we set ourselves up better for .

All this talk about promotion, its way too early.. Probably a season or 2 too early.

We're not going up while we let 2 goal leads slip away against 10 men.. We just wouldn't win that final when you've got to be focussed for the whole game and talking of second place is madness at this point in time..

If and it's a big if we go up we adapt to the situation
Not many of our supporters saw us finishing 9th with the players we had then
But its silly to write us off as we don't know who we can bring in and who stays

We spent 50m that first season to get 9th
If we get 150m again we can match that spend if needed

But what we have been shown by Hecky is we can trade in Windows with out breaking the bank
