Yes

My very first away game was the Spurs one and I had the good fortune to have a Yellow Chopper for Xmas 🎅

The Fulham game was my 24th birthday and I stood on the open away end with my soon to be wife as we went to London for the weekend.

How the hell did you know this ???

How are they significant to you or others if not you ?
To be honest got a big old batch of programmes from random clubs and these were the two I found with blades links.

Was wondering if they were of significance ie first game, date of birth etc, they’re not valuable and I’m happy to gift them to anyone if the sentimental value is there

Programmes free to a good home if the memories are important.

I take it it was an amber mk 1, with the round knob gear lever and the long seat? They didn't do yellow choppers until the mk 2, with the T-bar gear lever and shorter seat, came out in 1974.

What do you mean, 'send a glass eye to sleep'???

You’re absolutely spot on you know - it was the amber colour . Thanks . I’ve looked at pictures of the yellow version and it never looked quite right .

Was a death trap that bike . I remember hurtling down Worksop road (in Aston) on the pavement and the handle bars came loose - I went head over heels and ended up in hospital .

Happy , happy days

I was there in March 1972 when we also lost 2-0. I used to spend alternate weekends in London in 1972 as I was an Airman stationed in Suffolk. Pretty sure Alan Gilzean got a lot of humorous stick from the home crowd. I used to go to London when the Blades were there.

It’s exactly what I’m after. Do you want the programme. Gratis of course.
Oh great! Yeah I'll take up your generous offer. I've generally stopped collecting programmes but do still pick up significantly dates etc so it's much appreciated.

I'll send a DM 🤝

Great thread this mancunianblade, and fair play to you.

In the spirit of giving, does anyone want a knackered scarf from the 2025 Championship playoff final at London Wembley? Smells a bit
One mans junk is another mans treasure, (Junk as in rubbish not man meat) as the saying goes
