Gone Elsewhere Djed Spence

Hope Spence's career nosedives into a spiralling period of pain, frustration and misery. When he lands I hope he lands in a 9ft deep pit of diarrhoea with steep sides, surrounded by tv screens playing non-stop Sheffield Wednesday matches that all end 0-0. Several years later, and after he's churned his way out, I hope he contracts every skin disease known to man, is forced to live under a bridge, and can only digest brussels sprouts for the rest of his life.

It's a no from me (unless Hecky really wants him, of course).

UTB

Leeds have cancelled the loan and sent him back to Spurs, seems he's not listened to the advice Warnock gave him.

Attitude problem rearing his head again - apparently come after being replaced for a 17 year old CDM playing out of position rubbed him the wrong way and Farke wanted him gone because of it.

Makes you wonder, how many more clubs/managers are going to say he has an attitude problem before he either changes it or people stop taking a risk on him?

Amazed how he managed to end up at Spurs. It said it all when Forest didn't seem too fussed about keeping him.

Honestly think that tweet at Warnock at the end of that season fucked him. Can't have a guy say you have an attitude problem and then prove him right by being a dick with an attitude, then expect your career to work out.

Look at Johnson at Spurs. In the same Forest side, kept his mouth shut and got on with the job and is now playing consistently-ish for Spurs whereas Djed is probably ending up at someone like Rotherham

He might just need the right gaffer and set of players to knock him down a couple of pegs??

Unfortunately there's a lot more like him, attitude problems prevent them realising what a lucky position they're in

Indeed Kacper Lopata had a great opportunity with us....now warms th bench for Barnsley...

Didnt work with Ravel Morrison and even Nile Ranger to abit.

Doesn't work with every player but some it seems to. Pogba is one that springs to mind, so much more potential than he's shown...However, the cunt has still made more money than I could ever dream of. Who would have thought, some people thought Morrsion was the better of the two at times.

Morrison, Pogba, Lingard. Alot in common..

Bellends
Played in same youth side
Rich as fuck
Could've been loads better.

So 2 players named, just to put it into a percentage, that's out of how many??
Because 2 players are shitcunts, doesn't mean they all are.
Was meaning more the fact they had good managers in their times. Fergie or Wilder couldn't help with Morrison so that player wasn't right for football.

No way are we putting those 3 together.

I get your point but Pogba was absolutely elite in his first spell at Juventus and returned to England as the most expensive transfer ever.

He has underachieved but he isn't in the same breath as those two bums.

Agreed, was more on about the fact all being at Man Utd together.

Spence could be a viable option for us next season but Isaiah Jones may be a better option of that kind, should one of Baldock or Bogle leave, which is highly likely IMO

No way he’d last 2 minutes with Wilder…didn’t he decline recalling him from Forest when he was at Boro? (Which now looks a kick for us given they pipped us in the play offs)

That said, every time I’ve watched him play you can see the lad has it, just a very good player. It’s a real shame he can’t get his ego sorted as he really could go right to the top in my opinion.
And fair play to Farke by the way, strong decision and galvanises his control on the squad. Suspect they may have to look at a replacement themselves.

The psychology of a 'bad attitude' in a footballer is fascinating too. There's potentially a huge range of lived experiences that any individual could have been through, and continuing to live through, to the point that they are perceived as being a bad egg.

For every Djed Spence, there's the public's perception of Marcus Rashford.

I don’t accept that Lingard has had a bad career - played most of it for Man U, FA cup winner, league cup winner, Europa League or whatever it is winner, 36 England caps! How high have our standards become when that is considered a wasted career for a footballer!

Cos he's never made the standard required to play for Sheffield Wed+×#day.

Hes not had a bad career when you talk about money but he has wasted half of it. He's only 30? Hardly played in 3 years

World Cup semi final. Bad career. 😂

The poor kids at academy level would kill just for a pro contract….

Think J Lingz has struggled to deal with the fact that he's not at Man U anymore when he believes he should be.

I think a lot of Brewdogs problems early on were the same.

Heard Leeds terminated his loan for constantly being late. Final straw was when he failed to turn up to the annual Xmas hospital visit.

I’m sure he’ll be retired by 26.
