[DISCUSSION] Fans Forum - Thursday November 8th

After the recent upheaval at the Lane, this is your first opportunity to put questions to the new positions in the football club.

A Fans Forum has been scheduled to take place in S2 Bar which is located in the John Street side of the stadium on the evening of Thursday November 8th. The doors will open at 7.00pm and the Q&A will commence at 7.30pm.

Present from SUFC will be Dave Green (Football Club Chairman) Ian Cameron (Executive Director) and John Garrett (Supporters Liaison Officer/ Club Historian). The bar will be open from 7.00pm.

The numbers permitted in the room are around 100 and tickets must be ordered in advance from the Ticket Office at Bramall Lane - there is, of course, no charge- it simply keeps us up to date on numbers. If you are interested in attending, please email the ticket office via [email protected].

If we exceed the capacity we can then always switch to a different suite at the ground and advise colleagues and supporters well in advance. In that spirit we ask that questions and points raised are considered and relevant to how we want to move the club forward and make a difference as a whole.

If anyone can't be there, feel free to leave questions in this thread. And we'll be there to provide coverage in our usual way.

What on earth does 'staff shortages in that area' mean? How many bleedin press officers do we need. We are a tinpot pub league club - nobody in the outside world could give a toss about us.

Booing Blackwell and Adams and several pathetic, overpaid players (Simo, Monty, Cresswell for example) is my attempt to make things better - what more can I do than that?

I try and alert you to the accounting facts, alert you to Birch's salary - short of finding £200m to buy the club and a new team I cannot really do that much can I?

Surely that's little different than you being totally unavailable at all times to actually find something out for yourself/give people a fair opportunity to change your opinion.

Nowt against Cookson at all, sure he is a decent fella etc. My point is, and I am sure you will agree, he will not be able to tell me how much the rent is.

I've got my opinion on the one person that matters at BDTBL and that really is that. Until he buggers off the club will decline and wither away.

Blades Player - I've raised this with John Garrett by email for myself, but as I can't make it because I'm working overseas, can you ask a couple along the lines of this subject:

1. What is the plan for Match Day Commentary Streaming, given that there has been a lot of issues so far this season, when do we say enough is enough and go to another provider?
2. When is the OS going to catch up with the rest of the world and be properly compatible/ available on all formats not just a PC using IE, Chrome, Safari etc. Tablets and mobile sales outstrip PC sales now.

Can someone please ask how long the club is tied to the 0871 numbers? The last answer I know of was from the Cricketers meeting that the phone system was going to be overhauled. This meant nothing to the fans it was just a pacifying comment and nothing has changed for those who call the club.
