Sat here tucking into a pint can.. yeah a pint can and got thinking when did I first have the delights of Arbor ale? An absolutely fantastic brew and good value too..
Anyway the game..
Bristol City away before they did up the away end. Still had some murals ( or Muriels Hilda?) on the away end of Brizzle players and seem to remember a terrace corner with seats on it. Last bash of the 60s
Left the ground and thought I could walk up the hill and down to the basin via the bridge. Yes that bridge Further than i thought
Anyway I had been in that brilliant cider pub en route ( the banksy wasnt there then) the one with about 30 ciders on tap and half way from Temple Meads
anyhow I got right lost in the dark after the game amongst rivers and bridges and motorways.
Then after a bit of a yomp after the Bag o Nails I saw a reopened pub.. dashed in, saw wood floors, bar opposite cool vibe and discovered Arbor ales. Bucking Frilliant. Lost lost, cold, missing our lass and needing a pint..
Blades away and offering strong hazy cask beer when it wasn’t that easy to find. So all praise to Arbor ales in their first pub ( I think). I still drink yer ale and sadly maybe looking you up for a visit next season.
United, decent beer, new pubs, exploring. I miss my data away.
Come on 2021 deliver us from evil..
