Dirty PL trick...

Hows that? West Ham were fined for lying and decieving, the Blades made the transfer and its details public, the PL actioned it and even both official sites even mentioned it. Its not like it was hidden away like the Tevez details :)

Smacks of panic and an attempt to make us look bad imo :)

Agree there Foxy.

I mean everything was there to see when Kabba moved to Watford.

If the PL are that blind to not even see it then once again it shows how inept and useless the PL are.

So it hardly shows us in bad light really.

Not quite, I believe that rule was specific to acting in bad faith towards another PL club, or similar wording.

Besides, it was more or less known from day one tht Tevez was owned by a third party. ;)

afternoon sendo

Nice avatar btw.

But if it was indeed a clause in the contract, then Watford were compliant in that.

There is also some mens rea element in rule B13... it states that the clubs must act in good faith. The Blades may have thought they were acting within the rules in this instance and with nothing coming from the PL who must have ratified the contract, they may not have been acting with the required intention to constitute a rule break.

Compare that with West Ham who were found guilty of rule B13 for lying with every intention.

EDIT: Good evening Sendo :)

BBC website says that the PL are investigating the Kabba deal further.
But then again, they also believe that Man United and Everton were relegated last season! Maybe they're just making room for us to be re-instated :)

"In May a similar probe was launched into goalkeeper Tim Howard's transfer from Manchester United to Everton.

Howard joined Everton on a season-long loan deal from United in the summer of 2006, which became permanent in February.

Premier League rules on loan deals prevent players from facing their host club but, once the Howard deal became permanent, he was eligible to face compete against United on 28 April.

Howard missed that game but, in a statement, the Premier League said neither club, who were both relegated to the Championship last season, were involved in any wrongdoing."
