Hmmmm....

This saturday will be the first time in ages that I will be able to attend a match due to my work committments. Until last night I was quite excited at the prospect of joining the lads in the pub and then trundling down to my old spot on the kop to watch my beloved Blades.

The Paddy/ Warncock thing adding a bit of spice to the situation, I checked the website to find it'll cost me £22. A bit excessive when there are bills to pay, but I thought I would take a punt and go and support the lads whilst I have the chance.

Last nights (ahem) PERFORMANCE has thrown me right back into "why the fook should I waste bill money on watching yet another clueless Blackwell performance"

On paper, the team looks reasonable. The problem is with that useless idiot in charge, all we can look forward to is more negativity, more hoofball and more making half decent players look woeful.

So do I go and waste my bill money, or do I think "sod it" and look forward to seeing my beloved team when someone else is in charge who can do the club and supporters justice?

I'm still looking forward to Saturday. making the trip up from the South Coast tomorrow and looking forward to seeing a few people for a drink before the game :)

If one result changes your mood from excitement to despair then I'm not sure you'll withstand the full 90 minute, live-action, technicolour rollercoaster.

Might be best if you go to the match but sit it out in the bog, just in case. You might be able to watch injury time if we're 3-0 up. But don't take any unecessary risks, will you?

Last night hasn't changed my opinion, I'm still looking forward to it...

Proud season ticket holder me but I cannot make it on Saturday so you'll be saved from my well-balanced reflections on the match.

If that's the case, I'm going to ask a question and I'm not being at all sarcaistic. Serious question:-

Why do you spend your money on something that winds you up so much and causes you so much discontent?

I just find it difficult to understand.

I expected a change to last season's garbage, but alas, it looks like more of the same. It's not last night's result that bothers me, but the negative gameplan.......and only 2 shots all night against lower league opposition. I missed 2 games in 28 years, seen many ups and downs, but the garbage seved up recently ranks up there with some of the worst. I want a return to aproaching the game with some PASSION, knowing that the "never say die" attitude will be there. I'm sure we have players out there who are more than up to the mark but HAVE TO play to " tactics" that simply bore us stupid. Tactics that allow the opposition to attack at will and just hump it forward and hope we can pick up a loose ball.

I want to be excited by them again. I want to be entertained.

I'd go. I am a season ticket holder who can't make this weekend because my father - who I sit next to - bought my wife and myself Les Mis tickets for tomorrow night in Manchester! Clever dad. I am hoping that we have kept the right players from last season and replaced some of the dross with some better players. I may be classed as a clapper but Britton, Ward, Evans, Cresswell and Boggy will get us playing football.

I also expect that once the full defence is in place it will be one of the meanest in the league. I see only Morgs from last night being in the finished back four. We still need a right back though.

I trust he's going to compensate you for this outrage?

Les Miserables indeed!

Sheffield to Manchester - 1 hour

Think I might know someone who would take the Les Mis tickets off your hands in a heartbeat Wireman.

Via Warrington to pick up the wife - unless she has left me as the tickets were an anniversary pressie and it will be out first solo outing since our daughter was born in June!
Midweek matches I normally can get home within 1hr 15 mins but Sat it about 1hr 30 or more.

I can see the logic in your comments, Britton etc should be able to get us playing entertaining football, however, you have overlooked one major impediment to this master plan. He's affectionately known as either "Hoofy" or "Cheap as Chips"!! I won't go as far as to say his game plan doesnt allow players to express themselves, because that would pre-suppose that he has a game plan. It is an unfortunate situation that we will never be the side that the supporters want us to be whilst Hoofwell is in charge. All we can hope is that now that nearly a third of Season-Ticket holders have given a resounding NO MORE message to the Board and now he has done the dirty work and reduced the wage bill, hopefully, McCabe and Birch will take some notice and bring in a proper football manager to our beloved club.

We wouldnt play football with Messi,Ronaldo,Iniesta and Villa in the side Not under Blackwell's management.A new season should bring excitement and optimism.Blackwell has killed both after two fixtures.
