Maybe I see it differently to most and at the risk of incurring the wrath of some/most bed wetters round here, for the sake of balance and perspective, I'm going to laugh in the face of the negativity round these parts.

Yep. We've been flat and performed below our usual standards of intensity. But then so have every other team - bar Citeh, but even they have played two Home Games against sides who haven't helped themselves. The 'new normal' of the PL is a significantly downgraded product - so we're no different.

We're one disallowed goal and a sending off away from having 4 points from these two games. So whilst people round these parts are focusing on the world ending, I'm more inclined to shrug my shoulders and say that's how it works at elite level sport.

We always seem to start seasons slowly under Tufty, so I would fully expect us to find away to start winning games...

True. We’ll be reight!

I'm with you mate. There are a couple of dozen people, or so, who dominate this board with their over the top reactions to everything from transfers, to tactics, to player selection ........ you name it, we have people on here who are experts. Wilder knows fuck all. Well they certainly don't represent me, and I doubt represent the vast majority of the 28k regular Blades fans at the games.

I really hope that Wilder doesn't have some sort of link to the stuff that is written on here. Perhaps that's what he was alluding to in his Radio Sheffield interview yesterday, basically calling out the 'oh life isn't fair, woe is me' slashes on this board.

Well if you do Chris, 99% of Blades are with you 100%. We recognise (as you do) that we have been well below par these past 2 games, but hey, come on, let's cut ourselves some slack here. On the whole we have had an amazing season and now is the time to pull together and fight our way out of this blip.

COYRWW!!!!!!!

Why is it that the only views expressed on anything these days are the extreme end of 'depressive negativity'/'delusional positivity'?

The reality is it has been just two games back, two poor performances where the other side has looked a better in both......
That's exactly how it has been, no better, no worse.
Too soon to tell whether it's a minor slump or the new norm, but either way, you've got to let it go and move on to the next one.

We’ve looked flat in both games and I do understand the concern shown by some. The over the top negative posts I’ll put down to passion and gut reaction.

The Villa game was a weird one, quite anticlimactic after all the hype and excitement. The lack of VAR cost us 2 points of that I’m certain though.

I think everyone wanted to beat Newcastle and set the record straight after the shit show at the Lane. It always hurts more when a team beats you with non-football shithouse tactics.
But let’s face it everything that could’ve gone wrong that day did. Egan literally did nothing for that 1st yellow. Joelinton fouled Bash, he then stopped play, he then raised his arms to Egan and went head to head. How Egan ended up with a yellow is beyond me!
Norwood lost possession more times in one game than he has all season. A very uncharacteristic performance.
Enda failed to clear a simple ball in.
Henderson probably should’ve saved that shot anyway. Henderson was out of position for Ritchies strike.
Sharp missed a relatively simple header, he’s usually a brilliant header of the ball!
So we need to chalk it off as a freak day at the office. In essence we beat ourselves on Sunday and that’s not the team CWAK have built for us.

So onto Wednesday. A goal scored and a more confident performance and we can forget all about Newcastle. If we take something from Man U (hopefully 3pts) then it’s onto Arsenal. We then progress to the semi’s and we will all be buzzing again! UTB!!

What’s it got to do with you?
