I actually agree with you 100% for me Gomez and Dier should be nowhere near the team.

On form the current first choice CB partnership for me would be Coady and Maguire.

No idea why Southgate dropped the 3 CB system. We don't really have 2 good enough to play as a pair - a 3 gives a bit more margin for error.

Agree 100% - it's not only our centre backs that aren't good enough, it's all over the pitch.

United have shown how average can be better as a unit, especially with 3 at the back and being fluid in midfield.

Southgate is useless as a coach/manager - England are average in World football when we come up against the best - we couldn't even get a semi final right against Croatia because they outplayed us in the most important area - midfield.

England need to do it a different way - something like the Wilder/Knill way - just be different.

Sadly for United, the best thing the FA could do is make Wilder/Knill manager/coach of England - at least we would have a system that would work, because that's what this pair are good at - making things work.

As for girl- children the son bit is replaced with dottir, an accent thing over the o. Obviously a northern European word similar to daughter.
