Why does anyone think anyone further up the league would be remotely interested in a player who has played twice in the third division and has suffered a serious injury?
Who?I could name one Premier League team that are very interested.....and we ain't talking about the likes of Hull City
They play in red![]()
Before I start I'm not one who has any kind of links to the Blades hierarchy nor do I directly know anyone at the club. Through a close friend who is also friends with Diego's family I have been told he is set to reject any offer United put forward to him.
Diego is very unhappy at United and is looking forward to leaving, when United recalled him from York he was extremely unhappy and nearly in tears to his father. He feels that York allow him to play with freedom and Clough doesn't, Diego has see a lot of players around the same age as him given their opportunity and he has been left behind. Clough wasn't happy with his attitude when he first joined the club and they haven't really seen eye to eye since.
Diego's agent is an ex Chesterfield player and two clubs that are interested in Diego are Bournemouth and Chesterfield. Chesterfield cant afford to pay a fee for Diego so it would have to be on a free.
I wouldn't usually write something like this on here because 9/10 the rumours on here are rubbish and the person writing is instantly shot down but with this coming from somebody I trust I thought I would share it.
Hope I am wrong, I wouldn't want to see us lose a promising youngster without seeing them given there chance to shine in the first team.

. The lad has not been encouraged by Clough as far as I can see and nobody could blame him for choosing his club when the time suits him.
He's on the bench because the trainer stood on his foot in the warm up of the last match he played in and he has damaged it and he's not yet 100%Up to now the lad is all hype ,gone to York now benching for them .if the lad has billy big bollox syndrome then he will end up non league . Crucate injuries have finished better players than Diego .
Think he needs a word in his shell like .
he needs to toughen up in the warm up then and twofoot the trainer .He's on the bench because the trainer stood on his foot in the warm up of the last match he played in and he has damaged it and he's not yet 100%
It does sounds plausible.
It was always going to be difficult to persuade Diego to extend his contract while he was only on the fringes of the first team squad.
However, we are entitled to compensation and there is no way he will be joining Chesterfield (or anyone else) on a "free".

Injured prior to Accrington game, came off as he was in agony, had a stitch in the gash consequently on bench the next two games. EasyThe trainer must be really clumsy.
29/11 Plymouth - on bench
13/12 Wimbledon - started
20/12 Bury - started.
26/12 Accrington - Started - subbed after an hour.
28/12 Carlisle - on bench
3/1 Plymouth - on bench.
, had a stitch in the gash

yes diego has to earn a first team place as i have said before boy and youth football comes easy to gifted players but the transition from youth foot ball to 1st team football is massive and he has yet to bridge the gap,he will of course be allowed to go back to york on loan when cloughy feels we have enough cover without him yes he is only cover at the moment the rest is up to him ".come diego get your finger out!!"A message to all the fans - there are times when you have to trust NC and the management team know what they are doing and at the moment all we have is one side of a story - jackanory comes to mind.
No doubt Diego may be upset but ALL of this "could" be a story put out by the agent - does Jordan Slew or Harry Maguire ring a bell. His agent is only doing his job by trying to get his player either games where he is, and therefore a pay rise or be instrumental in engineering a move else where, which in itself will generate a pay rise. Really strange isn't it that this story breaks when the transfer window has just opened......dear me.
As for Chezzer not being able to afford a transfer fee - simple solution - FUCK OFF.
If you want Diego, put it in the pot with Eoin Doyle. Chezzer say they can't afford to sell Doyle cheap as to the large sell on clause - well, fuck me, you GOT him in the first place on those terms and single handed will probably keep you in this division this season, so shut the fuck up with your begging bowl.
oh dear - rant over..............

And yet Clough appears to encourage the kids, e.g. Dimaio, Kennedy, Khan and Reed. Is the real issue the p[layer rather than the manager ? Is DG not as good as DG thinks he is ?
