Looks like he’s found his level...

Shame really, I liked him at the Lane but his attitude wasn’t right

I just find it funny how juventus was supposedly after him...fast forward few years he’s at Macclesfield

Macc have always been a big feeder club into the Serie A for those in the know.

Juve still have all of that Pogba money buring a hole in their pocket, so you just wait for the big money bid to go in........

"STAVELEY MINERS WELFARE are pleased to announce the signing of, former SHEFFIELD UNITED and ITALY international hit man, Diego Digimanalambo, for an undisclosed fee (thought to be £85m), from MACCLESFIELD TOWN FC".

I can just see it now, on the front of the SPORT....

He was too good for us, and we was lucky to have him for the time that we did.

People questioned his attitude during his time at the Lane. But I always think it is the most gifted and talented players that seem to have their attitude question. Look at Zlatan, had his attitude questioned a few times but look how good he is. And it is exactly the same as Diego.

Playing for Macclesfield?

Hang on...I thought he looked decent the one time I saw him play (League 1 level) but then he got injured. Then some people questioned de Girolamo's attitude but on being asked to give evidence of this there was none forthcoming, a few bits and pieces about pushing his sponsors (it's expected!) And something about a car which was a birthday present. Now if I've got any of this wrong somebody shout but FFS are people going to continue gloating about this until he retires?

Just had his contract cancelled by Man U. Supposed to be going to LA Galaxy, but he may be negotiating a deal with Macc......
Best place for him to go would be the USA, play at a reasonable level, get his coaching badges and set up an academy

Personally I think all the hype and hiteria surrounding Diego was warranted and justified at the time and United rated him very highly when he was 16/17 which proved correct with his recognition with Italy, what put paid to his development was the knee injury he suffered at a crucial time when he should have been pushing on. I don’t think he ever came back the same player after looked to have lost a yard of pace and I think he knew that and his confidence went with it also destroying him mentally.....shame that he suffered the way he has because he had everything in the locker to be a quality player
