So, if I read this right kid comes from nowhere, signs for Blades through Academy and suddenly he is the solution to all our problems and should play on Saturday as apparently a run in the FA Cup really doesn't matter?
Oh and no one else was in for him even though we apparently fought off Biggleswade United and Rossendale for his signature.
When does the madness stop?
TBH I have heard about this kid for the past year or so and that he was the next great hope, so he certainly hasn't come from nowhere. This is a huge boost t o the club, I think, especially after Pembo leaving my fear was the Academy might start falling apart. He obviously sees the opportunities of getting games here and experience. No doubt he will move on if he develops as expected, unless of course he, Harry, George and the others can drive us on to the PremiershipSo, if I read this right kid comes from nowhere, signs for Blades through Academy and suddenly he is the solution to all our problems and should play on Saturday as apparently a run in the FA Cup really doesn't matter?

He hasn't come from nowhere: he's 17 so was [probably] playing U16s last year. His dad played for Napoli at some level so there is some pedigree there.
One final thought: maybe no-one was in for him because he's a sensible lad with sensible parents who feel that the best place for him to develop is at the club he's been with for 10 years?

I wouldn't say that he is the solution to all our problems but he has been scoring goals for fun in the U18s games and has made the step up to the reserves in recent weeks. I can't see the harm in giving someone so obviously highly rated - why else would a 17 year old signing a pro contract make the national press, regardless of the veracity of the links - a place on the bench.
