Anyone else noticed a lot of SUFC & VFL Bochum stickers about in BDTBL during last home game? Plus a some in Fanny’s and a few other pubs? All with a “die Partnerschaft” sticker and both badges?

Appreciate that we’ve got a connection with St Pats Athletic over in Dublin, but wasn’t aware of any connection with Bochum? I know stickers are the in thing to plaster everywhere. Anyone shed any light on this? Clearly there’s some twin city stuff with the parkway. Wasn’t aware of a fan connection. Basically I’m fishing for a Bundesliga away day at Bochum. ;)

I can only think this has got to do with Bochum being our twin city

I didn't realise we have got a connection with St Pats Athletic in Dublin, can any shed any light on this please

Can only assume it's the twin cities thing. VfL's a cracking ground, although their friendship with Bayern is concerning

Played in Bochum on an exchange trip and at Leverkrusen. Got slaughtered in both senses.

Been going for a fair few years. Started by some of the Handsworth Blades. A few Pats lads travel over to a lot of the big games in decent numbers and vice versa. Saw a big bunch of them at Millwall away last season.

Not sure whether a Handsworth Blade or dublin 10 blade can shed further light.

Topical United of all the teams to form a ‘footballing friendship’ with, we’re burdened with a shit one.

It started a few years ago , on our triple assault season , i meet a few traveling over for the uddersfield game back then
Willo is the main man ( he’s mates on Facebook with my lad ) who comes over on a very regular basis , and he brings a good few over with him
All big Pats fans , hence the connection ( check photos on Irish Facebook page for Blades / Pats flag and numbers )
It’s him who’s in contact with the Handsworth lads , I was talking to a few ( Handsworth lads ) in Howard before pig game at home last November , good crew came over from Ireland then close to 20 of us

Was on the train with them down to Gillingham a few years back under Adkins. They’re a great set of lads both the Handsworth lot and the Irish guys.

Bochum friends with Bayern? I don’t think so. Go to Bochum every other year since football exchange trips in early 80’s. Bayern, Schalke and Dortmund biggest rivals.

got good mates with a lad from Bochum when i was at school he was on an exchange.. he lived in the outskirts of Bochum and him and his mates were Schalke . lost touch with him but i still look out for Schalke results

Schalke and Dortmund obviously, but you're wrong on Bayern. Either that or I imagined multiple people wearing Bayern scarves when in the Bochum home end

Might be a thing to wind up the Dortmund lot, who don’t have much time for Bayern.
