Didn’t deserve to lose that

No shame in that, not at all. And kept going right till the bitter end. Just like Wolves did though, they made it plain that they're a better side than us (hardly surprisingly).

Some bright spots in there. Thought Blackman was superb, central defenders rock-like, both wing-backs looked energetic & good at both ends of the pitch (Enda's curve's seriously on the up the last few games), & Brooksy looked lively & sharp. Away Blades sounded top class too.
You can't say that Alf, you will have the no atmosphere boys on your case;) Sounded awesome.

If the first team had put in that performance I'd have been pleased. The fact it was essentially a 2nd string means the lads deserve great credit
The death eaters need to feast though Roy so I'm sure they'll see it differently.

Got hammered but didn't look out of our depth....bit of a strange comment.
We kept the score respectable and had some chances. Peterborough were out of their depth against Leicester. We weren't. We lost to a good goal because of just general quality of players that money buys. Iheanacho cost more than our whole squad, doubled. The score line was fair I think.

Not me particularly. We got hammered but didn't look out of our depth against a side that's spent £70 million this year alone. No moans from me here but we did deserve to lose in the end. If that's what the top 10 in the Premier League performs like I see no reason why we wouldn't stay up if we were to get promotion this season.
I thought hammered was going to be the daftest comment in that post until ou said 'no moans from me'

Yeah, they were really hammering at our door all game, don't know how it was only one nil. We didn't even test their keeper or their back four either.

Yes we did schmichael stopped one with his fingertips, you obviously weren’t watching

I think CW has learnt from the Wolves match that you cannot go toe to toe in an attacking sense against these real quality teams cos strangely enough, the countless millions that they have spent on their players mean that they have the better quality players in the attacking third.

When I heard CW tell the sky tv pundit pre Wolves match that we were going to go for it....I feared the worst. Commendable I thought...but naive. What I had hoped we would do, was to sit back, be stubborn and hard to break down, and hit them on the counter. As it was the tactics were all wrong, the players had a nightmare, we gave Wolves players the freedom of the park, and we were royally mullered.

A few weeks later....Leicester away who have some superb players, all athletes with natural pace and power...and we have learnt. We do what we needed to do in that we were bloody awkward and defensively sound. CW was constantly barking out orders to the team to keep its shape and not over commit. Apart from a sloppy bit of marking and a sublime finish, and a world class save from Lurch in the Leicester goal from Baldock, we could have easily nicked a draw.

Don't know how we could have played it any better tonight...tactically or with the players we had available. More importanly we stuck in the game til the final minute and gave it a real go.

Well done to the players for the shift they put in tonight and for adapting to the change in tactics which they haven't really played this season. Well done to Lord Wilder for learning from his rare mistake at Wolverhampton, and well done the Blades fans tonight...they were loud n proud - 1st class as they usually are.

Terrific all round performance tonight by all concerned. Well played Utd. We can win the cup next year when we are a premier league side again. UTB.

Good performance. 1-0 was about right. They had more possession, chances and more quality but we were in the game throughout. One moment where Basham switches off and it is in the net - he played well too.

Thought there were some good performances and nice to see Brooks back.

A few showed though they are not quite up to it sadly - the midfield 3. I thought Lundstram did ok first half but was poor second half save for one good ball. LAfferty awful first half but improved. Carruthers a bit meh again throughout. The defence was really good. We have to somehow try and sig Blackman for me. We look better with him in the goal. I felt Wilson was non existent. He does not look bothered. Donaldson tried but had little service.

Still it was a decent showing. We were well organised, commited and played when we could but a bit sloppy when we had chances to break I felt.

Big weel thought now. We need to really go for 6 points from two struggling sides. Win those 2 and we are right back in the race.

Our most impressive display since Coutts got injured, and tactically much more sound than when we played them in September in The League Cup.

Those sort of tactics with the added Fleck and Sharp factors could well be the way to go if we get to the play offs.

looked more purposeful when brookes came on, but for a brilliant save by smeichel we could have got a draw. yes they were better than us, but thought we went out not to lose by 3 or 4. would rather have seen us give it a go.
blackman in goal tonight was superb. our fans were a credit tonight tonight great support.
hate losing to my home town but not disgraced

Overall, I thought we deserved a draw, and if we'd gambled a little earlier, might have nicked a goal, but obviously that has to be weighed against being caught on the break. It was a game of very few clear cut opportunities. We contained them well in the 1st half, we had a good shape and we we're only troubled a couple of times when vardy made a run on the edge of the box. We had a couple of 1/2 chances from wilson & stevens. Leicester are a shadow of their former selves; slow, ponderous build up. They seemed to fuck about with it in midfield without reason. We contained them well, and broke when right to do so. The chance when it came was nicely worked and should really have given Schmeichel no chance of saving it.

The person that sanctioned paying £40m for Iborra & Iheanacho needs tarring & feathering, shooting & feeding to the pigs in melton mowbray. There were once a lively counter attacking side, now they are like watching an egg boil. If/when Maguire/Vardy/Mahrez leave, it's back to the championship for them.

Fuck the debt dodgers x 2. Does my my head in that scum like these have a virtually free stadium followed by a premier winning team. Hope it catches up with them.
