It happened a lot, last time we were in the Prem when we had loads of hammerings at home. Can't really remember it being the norm before that.
Just watching Bristol fans going home in droves with only 40 mins gone being 3-0 down to Derby.
Did we start the (horrible) trend?

No, West Ham walked out of Old Trafford en masse before we did at home to Villa
 
Speak for yourself, I stayed and watched the entirety of our shit Premier League seasons. Mainly because I had nowt better to do but also because disappointment and misery is my default state.

I'm usually a big hit at parties.

We really ought to get together some weekend.

Sunderland started it
Its a generation thing, no backbone society
No one left early in the 60s/70s

Seem to recall long before us Sunderland being very good at it

Funnily enough I remember a mass-exodus of pigs from the rustbucket when 0-3 down to Derby before half time as well! Pretty sure that was before our Prem spanking walkouts.

Yes we started it, no fans had ever thought about leaving a ground early when losing in the previous 130 years of football, we are trendsetters
