I actually thought Benteke gave Egan a pretty tough time & seemed to have the better of him physically. That's not to say Benteke had a good game, only that in his one on one duals with Egan he seemed to come out (mostly) on top. Particularly first half.

Zaha, on the other hand, was brilliantly marshalled by Basham and Baldock especially. He eventually moved to the other side where he got similarly small change out of Stevens. I really enjoyed the old school method of getting into him & seeing how he coped. The answer - not very well.

The referee was excellent today.

That new rule assumes that the team that may have just played a crap pass [they certainly aren't trying to find the ref?] were going to keep possession. It's bollocks. It might have been about to set the opposition off on a breakaway goal.
