If we don't get him now does anyone seriously think he will be a top target in January?
 
interested to hear Wilders thoughts on the window, not normally one to spin things on behalf of the owners, his views on paying fees and getting players in has changed over the last few weeks, I get the feeling that has he's seen what is needed in this division he's wanted to spend some of the cash received from the sell on clauses.

Looks like the owners have yet again pocketed the cash as the window slams shut.

These owners will drive Wilder out of this club with lack of finances to match their supposed "ambition" so inreality our net spend is about +6m.. diabolical.

I think we're being held to ransom for a bang average underwhelming player. If he keeps scoring lol his track record suggests that's unlikely but hey let's panic buy!
 
Forget panic buying then. Prem Loans, get some u23s in.... we needed to bulk the squad up and we haven't.

We have 1 fit striker already....we've needed more up top since the window opened back in June.

Wilder won't butter up the owners, he'll make it pretty clear if he hasn't been backed.

Only we could make a positive start to life in the division and fuck it up by having 1 striker who can actually complete a game.

We've known since Saturday that Lavery was out and Clarke was suspended and we wanted one before that.

We keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

That's what I mean all McCabe is doing is giving wilder peanuts. In my opinion if wilder was at any other club, and wasn't getting the promised money, then he would have gone to Crystal Palace. He stuck with us coz he's a blade, and McCabe repays him, with no money in transfer window

And he will accept the shit that he wouldn't have accepted at another club

For a while anyway

If this season starts going bad and he isn't backed in January he will look dishevelled, give weird interviews and have a snappy temper, and that I'm afraid will be the beginning of the end for him
 
What really annoys me is that we spent 6 long years in league 1 and the owners are trying to stay in this league on the cheap and banking on Wilders managerial skills..... all smacks of the previous Chairman Reg Brearly when Basset was in charge. Although Wilder won't stand for it...he'll be out the door, and there goes our greatest asset for years...the owners need a good bloody shake... or sell up if they can't do the right thing.
 
It's OK, we'll go back in for him in January with a derisory £2m bid.

The owners of the club are pathetic,
But they're also very clever, they have convinced a large proportion of our fan base that buying good players for decent money is the road to ruination, and they try to use our "FRIVOLOUS" past to justify it.

There was a time about 9 years ago when in the Championship we competed with other Championship clubs.
We COMPETED with them, there was nothing FRIVOLOUS about it except for the fact that they gave a BIT of money to a crap manager
