Credit is due for the Heneghan signing, but I fear we are taking the 'not spunking moneh' approach too far in some aspects. I'd rather get slightly ripped off than go without pace up front.

Rightly we are concerned with obtaining proper value for money - and not having our pants pulled down.

But you feel we aren't miles away from getting some of these targets and we may need to realise the market has moved on. Players are moving for 100's of millions of pounds and there's a trickle down on this.

We are desperatly short of pace up top and have loads of injuries there - getting this one complete should be a priority for us and could shape our season
