Not necessarily all derbys for us, but other teams will see us as a derby game;

Barnsley
Doncaster
Chesterfield
Bradford
Scunthorpe

And maybe:

Rotherham
York

Help or hindrance?

I reckon hindrance, that's potentially 14 games in a season where the other team will have a derby game mentality.

Thats what they say about London clubs in the prem more difficult for them to win the league for this reason.

Was saying the same thing to my mate who was happy Donny had come down. I wanted Brum down so we wouldnt have too many 'derbies' next season as they tend to be tight games

Just add Rochdale to the list as well. it's as easy to get to as York or Scunny.
Oldham as well

I reckon it will help us to keep our focus ,plus the way wev'e finished the season allmost everyone who plays us are going to try and raise their game,so it will be upto us to raise our game and deal with all that will come at us next season as even all the numpty pundits are predicting us to go up next year, even though we know its not going to be that simple. Were sheff utd,we don't do simple, but i wouldn't have it any other way

It can be a positive or a negative thing depending on how you approach it. If we approach each of them as big games and look forward to them then we can use the derbies as a motivator and a spring board to achieve our aims.

Let's use those games in a positive way. That's what champions do.

Well up for the Chesterfield games, that's where I come from. Rotherham is always a laugh, as is Donny. Not arsed about the rest. Barnsley are like Wendy, but even scummier.

Be nice to get back in The Salutation.

I think its perfect for us....

Big away followings,.we should sell out, clough and the players are not stupid and will be well aware of the situation on these games..

Plus, these teams will be bricking it big time because they've got to play sheffield united and quite likely at the lane when its full, with a proper manager and a team who can do anyone on their day...

Brown shorts to be part of their away kits I think..

Can not wait to take the piss out of their fans on p&g and everywhere else.....

We have nothing to worry about, when the bar is lifted, we excell

Let's raise the bar I say...

With attitudes like that, we are starting to sound like the snort beasts...

I wouldn't say that radio. This is the sort of optimism cloughy has put into the fans and long may it continue i say.

We will never be like them twats. For a start they would have said they will sell out instead of should ,which was what tezza put.

Definitely a good thing. Id rather be travelling to Chesterfield than Southend any day. Cheaper day, more fans and (slightly) more atmosphere overall. I can't wait or next year!

Should be interesting here in downtown Elsecar, there are lots of Rotherham, Dingles, Wendy and Blades, not far away are the Doncaster outpost villages. Can't wait
