You could do something like that about any side. For instance....

Preston: Outplayed them
QPR: A team that struggled last year in a big way but they couldn't beat them at home
Sunderland: Lacking so much confidence I'd fancy our U18s to beat them at home or whatever
Fulham: Can't score at the moment . Had a poor start. Best time to play them
Burton: Won one game all season. Couldn't beat them
Forest: Now lost 3 in a row. Devoid of confidence. Great time to play them.

That analysis is just as ridiculous as the one he's given but the truly amazing thing is he believes what he was written. I like the "Derby are garbage at the moment" bit. They've just beat Hull 5-0, won 4 of their last 5 and are above them. Genius

We've also got a potentially very dangerous attacker in Brooks who's come on and tormented Barnsley, Derby and Sunderland recently. Absolute class assist for the second goal yesterday.


Diplomacy aside, fuck Wednesday. They call themselves the massive (unironically, don't let any of them tell you otherwise). Man Utd don't even call themselves 'the Massive' ffs.

What excites me about the game is just how much Wilder is going to get our tight knit bunch of players up for this game. Every single one of them will be going out there knowing exactly what he and we expect from this game. Led by a Blade, Captained by a Blade.

Can't stand the arrogant twats. They're obviously the favourites but I'd absolutely fucking love it if we beat them. I'd love to be there to see Wilders team talk before the game.

Just reading through that thread. Some of the posts are unbelievable.

Apparently we beat a shit Sunderland side but when they played them they were a team that had just come off the back of a decent draw to Derby,

As I'm sure you may be aware (probably not), different games have different variables. We played 2nd game of the season where they'd just come off the back of a decent draw at home to Derby and we had a dour performance art Preston. They were full of beans and played well at Hillsborough. Fast forward 3 weeks and its a different ball game. They're awful at home and you were able to take advantage of that. I'm confused as to to why you think that makes us look silly?

from a owl who is not taken in by the hype,we can win the game but it will be a hard game and closer than some think,you have started well i will admit that and a derby can go anyway as form goes out the window
 
Just read that thread LOL that Blade has got them tied up in knots, every team that we have beat were shit apparently. They're like a pack of rabid dogs one minute and squirming like a sack full of ferrets the next. I wonder what the excuse will be if Brentford stuff them midweek.
 
Current head to head in competitive games is W42 D36 L38 GF159 GA151 so pretty close but we are the top dogs. It's a decent measure of where teams sit relative to each other in the annals of history so they can't really argue overall supremacy 'cause the stats prove the opposite to be true....just. They've always trailed behind us in the only Derby stat that really matters; and still will even if they manage a double over us this season. That's not likely though as history suggests they won't manage to do that for another 90 years!

I think that's fair comment. Bit of a cliché but really any form and league position goes out of the window. It's pretty much about which team handles it better. These sort of games are rarely classics and I'll take a scruffy win, as I'm sure you would.
