Saw the same on Facebook re Clarke...might be something in it?

Surely would be Hussey though with both Lafferty and the young Man United lad..

I thought Bury were Skint ?
How can they afford him after refusing our "derisory offers" for him.

Can't see Clarke going back as it would leave us with little plan B up front.

Can't see him taking a pay-cut either.

As much as I've been unimpressed with Clarke, I would be sad to see him go. It hasn't worked so far, but it would leave us without a plan B. What else would we do, lump it long ball to Scougall?!

Clarke doesn't fit a typical Wilder style of fast, pressing football but that doesn't mean Wilder shouldn't have a plan B, say a more direct style off Clarke with two smaller players in and around him for knock downs. We'd have the necessary players already out on the pitch (Scougall, Sharp, Done, Lavery, Duffy etc), so it's not like a Clarke coming on would also need additional subs to make the change in system work.

I think the issue is that Clarke has always been used to being the main man, around which the system is based. He isn't that here, Billy is.

Does it mean wilder has a replacement lined up koz?

Sooner Clarke goes the better for me, bring in a real striker.

If Mcnuts is his replacement then I'd be worried about that, but I don't think he would be, as Wilder made his remarks about being a striker short due to injuries earlier in the season when asked about Mcnulty.

I think (i am in no way itk) that he has been brought back to be a 5th striker because Wilder wants 5. Ergo, if Clarke leaves, that is because he is going to be replaced - hopefully with someone better who offers the Clarke type of option.

clarke is injured atm so hes not going nowhere, and wilder has spoken that clarke is in his plans multiple times this season, mcnulty is only back as cover for clarke

I've heard a rumour that Tufty rates Clarke and wants rid of Runaround...

There is no source or substance to that, but you started it....

Hope Mike Reid doesn't turn out to be another Saville after this!!!!!

But who knows!?!?
Look how many came to light after Saville died!
You never know...that picture could jog memories.
