"We really took the game to try to win it. Of course we were by far the better team, of course we deserved to win, but I really liked the attitude of the team in terms of getting the result late on."

"We played the real football in the game, the real tactical ideas. In the end, we've scored two really good goals,"

You weren't by far the better team, also look at our forward line, you should have smashed us easily. But didn't.

He looked less pissed than usual tonight.

Nice fella but they'll probably make him a cunt.

Blades had to D or W this, Forest will be in the mix at the bottom come seasons end, could be telling by then.
Over all they have a reasonable squad but I believe Cooper is the weak link.

If that's what he saw and was happy with, then that's one of the relegation spots filled. Cloughie would have been spinning in his grave at that excuse for football. They had Gibbs White running around, the lad who put the cross in for the first goal and apart from that they were fucking shit

We're bedding players in and more than matched them and it was two mistakes that cost us so fuck off you ugly, buck toothed fucking twat, and fuck off again once you've fucked off already. Clinging on to your job, desperate comments from a desperate wanker.

To be fair he was right. First half they were very dominant. We had a spell where we got it together for 20/25 minutes or so in second half and looked on top. He tweaked it taking an centre half on for a winger and they got the points.

We have played 2 of the poorest teams in the PL so far. We need to do something special / different to turn it around. Think we need to go more direct hitting channels as all the teams seem to struggle with this.

If Traore had taken his one v one and that was the last goal, he would have been heavily criticised for that performance.

I guess 200m doesn't buy you all that much. I thought they looked less threatening than in the Play Offs. At least their scrubbers didn't invade the pitch this time. Any news on when they are being forced to play behind closed doors? Thought not.

It never ceases to amaze me on this whole style of play narrative.

I missed the first half as it was early hours here, but there was a great pass from perhaps Norwood into Larouci's path. Obviously it was relatively long pass as it was from Norwood sitting deep. There was already a narrative clearly underway with a comment like it's not often we say that much long passing but if it works then why not? It was an accurate precision pass over distance, one which takes decidedly more skill that a ten yard short pass. It was so far from the Wimbledon hoof it and all run after it approach. Already you can see an undercurrent of not wanting to give credit where it is due.

Later there was the clever lofted pass over the top that put Traore through and had the centre halves (decidedly Championship) all at sea. Soon followed a similar comment.

Even when Hamer was fouled the initial comment was that he'd gone down a bit easily. Only when replayed for all to see could the summariser, Bertles I think, admit, actually it was a bad foul, I got that wrong, lucky not to be a booking.

So why do we always have some fucking United hater as co-commentator or some partisan homer?

Same with Baron Von Fucking Green back accusing Max Lowe of loutish behaviour. Loutish? Trying to retrieve a ball that he thought was his whilst the Manager and Trainer, who have less right to retrieve the ball, are in the way? The guys a prick. In terms of being relevant they guy is dead but refuses to lay down!

Which brings me to bother point of annoyance..what the hell did Osborn and Hamer get booked for if the awful challenge on Hamer escaped a yellow? Just dreadfully inconsistent reffing.

We could do with some much fabled luck that supposedly evens itself out. Hoping for a suss penalty after City have missed 30 shots next week!

It’s amazing me how everyone isn’t seemingly seeing the obvious.

We have played the 2 poorest sides and been dominated. We are falling short against the lower standard of the league. When we come up against a Newcastle / Villa etc we will be a million miles away.

I read this and thought the same. Guy is delusional. i usually will pull us up on our style or happily concede we were outplayed. Not the case yesterday.

Guys a prat. They had a few spells when they were on top, we had a few spells when on top. It was pretty balanced. (50/50 possession) I saw very little from them that suggested they are a better team than us or that they dominated us. We got a little camped in our box for 2 periods of play that lasted 5 mins but that was after all our players went off injured. Their style of football was OK. All the neutral commentators said we deserved a point and said we should be gutted we didnt get one.

We weren't dominated last night

Palace will be mid-table comfortably. We weren’t dominated last night. But apart from that…

Unfortunately we were. Think I saw stats that they had like 16 attempts on goal. I think Palace had 24 attempts. So I will give it that we have improved. But still dominated.

Palace will get a battering today against Arsenal and they’ll be well down. They don’t score enough goals last season without Zaha it’ll be less.

They’ll be similar to Nottingham struggling towards the bottom.

They had 4 on target we had 3
Possession was 50 /50

Some people see what they want to see
So good blocks from defenders and poor shooting from the 4th worst team in the league is your argument that we didn’t get dominated.

We are a million miles away and no one seems to see it. I hope I’m wrong but right now teams are turning up for large parts against us in 2nd gear and controlling large parts of the game.

16 attempts on goal is good then? In your opinion?

Have you missed the other obvious…?

We have half a team and 4 kids on the bench. If we’d sorted out our transfers at a decent time we’d have 4 points by now.

Did you watch the match? Because stats don't always show the true picture.

We grew into the 1st half from about 20mins in. Then started 2nd brightly scored and looked the better for the next 15. It ebbed and flowed but we were looking the better and Traore scores we win that match.
Forest came back into it more after that likely because we were stuck between holding onto a point or getting the win.

Like we all could see bringing on Hackford and Brooks is just not the depth you want right now. These two may go on to have great careers but your want players who you know can hit it running.

We need more players but we aren’t getting 4 new defenders and midfielders are we?

Our defence and midfield is pretty much done I would expect. We are leaking goals for fun already.

Yes a new striker would be great but when we play a decent team we may need to score 3/4 to win!

Yes I went to the game. So in a match we played well in we lost 2-1 to arguably the 4th worst team in the league. That’s even worse.

We more than matched them after 30 minutes until minor fitness related injuries forced us to bring on Basham, Hackford and Brooks. That's when we started to lose a bit of control. The two goals conceded were through bad mistakes by Anel, other than that they barely troubled Wes all night. For me this says more about Forest than it does about us. We had no first choice strikers, much like when we played them at their ground in the play offs, we've lost four key players since last season and had McBurnie, Baldock and Norrington-Davies missing, and Forest could only beat us through our error after we'd subbed on old legs and two inexperienced kids.

So your argument is they dominated first 30

Then blades matched them for another 30

Then got dominated last 30

Seems we just have slightly differing terms on dominated. But 60 minutes followed by matching them I will agree with.

We didn't get dominated is my argument that we didn't get dominated
Anyone who watched the game can see that

Absolute shite

If not for Egan not defending too meat and drink.crosses
Wes has a cigar all night

Some just see the score line. Which in a way is the only true stat, but years of following football tends to tell you that teams often trend towards the underlying numbers eventually.

So your argument is we played well and lost to a poor Forest team is somehow a positive.

Where as me saying we got dominated and lost is somehow a negative?

If this is our good performance then we won’t get a point all season. So for all our sakes you hope I’m right.

Garry Birtles was so biased that it was actually laughable.

Correct. We have let 40 attempts on our goal in 2 games.

It has to be a record?

So your argument is we played well and lost to a poor Forest team is somehow a positive.
It's more positive than your lie about being dominated
Where as me saying we got dominated and lost is somehow a negative?
Just bullshit

You're either a pig a dog nonve forest fan or an idiot
