If it had been a rugby game the Bradford player would have been sin binned! The ball could be up the refs jumper, it's still a penalty if it's in the area. Body slams are a bit tame though, a Piledriver would have guaranteed a penalty.
I'm saying nothing?, apparently I'm a patronising twat. What the hells going on here? Are we really arguing whether fouling someone in the box is a penalty or not?
How surprising that you choose to comment on the end rather than the preceding 75That was painful to watch at the end, we could have put this game to bed, I just do not understand why invite teams to attack us week in and week out.

have a good evening!
It's probably best. Especially after waiting to see what the groundswell of opinion is before replying.I'm saying nothing?, apparently I'm a patronising twat.
Ok you got me. Are you seriously telling me you didn't know that a foul in the box , like the one against scougall today, was (or should have been) a penalty. If the answer is no, then I apologise for being being a " patronising twat". UTB, fuck the rest. It's probably best. Especially after waiting to see what the groundswell of opinion is before replying.
Yes. Under the circumstances. ie an off the ball non goal denying incident I didn't realise it was a penalty.Ok you got me. Not killing games off is what we do. Look at the timing of our goals, I think the stats say something like 11 out of our 19 league goals were scored from the 81st minute, which is quite astonishing. frustrating as fuck but makes it a nail biting finish to games.
I'd fucking love to see us beat Barnsley with 2 goals in the last minute 'cos I fucking hate the fans of that club. I also like saying "fucking" a lot so I must be in a mood this morning
I've only just seen what the Bradford player did to Scougall. Is the referee related to the Bradford player? The ref's in a great position, yet he's chosen to shake his head as if Scoug's the one who decided to commit a foul. Most astonishing piece of 3rd rate refereeing I've seen for years.

Yes was there. Thought it was the goalkeeper who committed the offence though. It's incredible that the ref didn't give a penalty for that assault. I was reminded of a somewhat similar type incident in a game against Millwall
at The Lane in 1978. The ball had been cleared after a United attack at the Kop end when one of their defenders went across the area and violently pushed one of the United forwards (Stainrod, I think). Unfortunately, for him, the ref who was near the half-way line, was looking back and saw this. He immediately ran back to the area and awarded United a penalty from which Woody scored. United won 5-2. Anybody else remember that?

Also think that was the game where Stainrod could have scored hat trick. Remember him going round the keeper and slotting the ball in and turning away to celebrate. Unfortunately there was heavy rain that day and the ball stuck in the mud on the line.
I think I remember that Longtime Blade, was it not a kick though? It's incredible that the ref didn't give a penalty for that assault. I was reminded of a somewhat similar type incident in a game against Millwall

If your apoglising for being a patronising twat then I'm apologising for being a beered up narky twat. Soz. UTB!
Just to further confuse matters, it doesn't have anything to do with denying a goal. If it's denying a clear goal scoring opportunity, that's a penalty and a red card. It's still a penalty if it's not a goalscoring opportunity, e.g. if someone was running away from goal but still in the box and you leg him up.
