>without Monty being in there winning the ball.
presumably you mean the one he just lost? thats what monty is about and makes him 'seem' industrious.. win ball.. make pathetic attempt at 5 yard pass.. lose ball .. win ball back.. he's like a dog chasing a stick

He used to run Aunt sallys at Broomhill and was also landlord of the Hermitage on London Rd (don't know what they call it now). Our Sunday league team migrated there from the Barrell and he used to train with us ,he was Ok but not outstanding.

And the Bradley Well/Terminus in Darnall

umm massive props to steve cammack..
scored the best goal i ever witnessed against leeds united in about 1974.. 30 yarder through the firework mist to equalise in 1-1 draw.. leeds had been timewasting for 85 minutes.. i think the point cost them the title.. ha ha ha.. brilliant moment

I've had a thought, and its made me a little curious.
I mean you have so many questions here that we keep going round and round on, endlessly searching for answers, discussing them to death without a real grip on the facts. I was just wondering, didn't you take the opportunity to ask those searching questions of the people who might actually be able to give you definitive answers? Did you make any of your helpful suggestions to them, either in the meeting or privately afterwards? Did you take the bull by the horns and tell them, whilst they were sat there with you, what you are telling us on this forum?

...and the trouble with your posts is that you have no questions at all.
Why didn't you buy shares and throw questions on to the floor?
Why are you such a SUFC unquestioning disciple. You've been suggesting that all is well for seasons now and the opposite is the case, as performances on the field and in the boardroom might suggest.
If you keep suggesting that all will be well, then one year you might be right, but none of us will be alive to witness it. In the meantime allow us to be concerned.

We signed him from Gresley Rovers in the first place.

Jonathan Hunt is still playing non league. Read about him in the Non League Paper last week. He had one fantastic game for us, but the rest were completely toilet.

I still regularly watch Steve Hawes playing for Stocksbridge Park Steels. I think he is the youngest ever player to appear for us in the PL. Another very nice lad, usually sits on the team bus to away games (which the fans can travel on for £5) with his nose in a book.

Doesn't Hawes play for Worksop Town now ? I haven't seen Worksop since they migrated to Hucknall then Ilkeston or wherever they are but sure I've seen his name mentioned inthe paper.

Last known playing for Altrincham a few years ago. He did play for Worksop Town a couple of years beforehand though.

He never played for us in the top flight. He came on as a sub for his debut v WBA in September 1995. He made one start for United in a 2-0 home defeat to Derby later that season.

Agreed about Jonathan Hunt as well ;)

He has played for both Altrincham & Worksop Town in recent years, but keeps coming back to Stocksbridge Park Steels, which is where he currently is. I watch them quite a bit. He jacked in Altrincham because of the mid week travelling to away games. Its bad enough in the Unibond Premier (Kings Lynn, Kendal Town etc) but Ebbsfleet away, for instance, was no joke.

Mark Ward, (who made a couple of sub appearances for us as a kid, I think) is also at Stocksbridge, and is a specialist at very spectacular long distance free kicks.

Steve Ludlam's son Ryan is another who drifts around the non league circuit, but keeps reappearing at Park Steels.
