Before you all post photos of people wearing Led Zeppelin jumpers or GIF's of people appearing in Terror Vision jumpers to grannies tea party, I'm curious to know how people define someone jumping on the Bandwagon when it comes to watching United.

I see it all the time mentioned on here when people get arsey about tickets to games towards the end of a promotion winning season. So how do you define it?

As a non-season ticket holder due to cost and working commitments but someone who has over 25 years been to Bury away on a Friday night and Oxford away and got pissed wet through at the old Manor Ground am I in that category for getting a Chez Vegas ticket? Would be interested to hear people's thoughts.

I was a season ticket holder for for fourteen seasons, the last being the Robson debarcle.
In that period between then and now I've only managed a couple of games a season. My personal life changed, kids, financial and professionaly.
Define the word bandwagon??
Not going to the games doesn't make you a non supporter or follower does it??
Anyway, fuck it,I went to the Coventry game and have tickets for the chesterfield game which will be my daughters first game.
I'm on the bandwagon.
Utb

Someone who hasn't even attended a single game this season but then buys tickets for the final game, like one of my neighbors. I can't stand fans like this regardless of them being apparently "blades". I can understand people not going because of affordability now and again, work commitments or living to far away. I sometimes have to work myself but I go when I can.

Bandwagon jumper is such a load of olde bollocks. If more people want to go and watch the Blades then I don't see what the problem is. There is a loyalty point system to reward those who've continued to watch the team, and season tickets also have offers etc. It's just superior nonsense from a select view and to be honest I've not seen too much of it on here over the years.

Feckin bandwagon jumper post ;):)

Everyone welcome........ As long as I've got a seat

Everyone welcome........ As long as I've got a seat

And as long as I can park my car  Over the last few years, we've got used to being able to leave S8 as late as 2:15pm, park up in S2, and still be in our seats before the teams walk out. "Bandwagon jumpers" = people who occupy all our usual parking spots around Heeley City Farm at least an hour before kickoff ;)

Actually, bollocks to that. How freakin' good is it to see the Lane filling up and starting to rock again ? Loving it ....

We need as many fans through the turnstiles as possible. As many Blades fans as possible. Newcomers, returners, part timers as well as die hard followers. Whatever reason stops you wanting to go to every match come what may is up to you. I have been to over 40 away grounds over the years, season ticket holder for many years, circumstances changed, family money etc. I have to pick and choose which matches I can go to. Like anyone else I am going to choose the most important games if possible. Give the "bandwagon" fans a bit of warmth, let them join in the glory, hey presto you've got a few more season tickets sold. A few more kids being introduced to the Blades. A few old timers getting back to BDTBL . Band wagon? Glory Hunter? The more exciting the matches are, the more people want to go. I am so thrilled that my eldest now wants to go to as many matches as possible, rather than me dragging him to tedious non events. Keep this Bandwagon rolling, fill the ground, let the players now what a giant they have woken up.

Same as others really, not bothered all season but as there might be a party decide to go to the last game....and have no or little intention of going next season.

Not going to knock the club at all, but would have been nice if they could have delayed sales and limited tickets until nearer the game, like they do for all other high demand games.

But surely only a problem if it causes a regular supporter to miss out (which shouldn't really happen anyway). Otherwise more the merrier init?

Being against 'glory fans' seems contradictory to wanting the Club to progress. If you cant stick fans jumping on board during the good times, then surely the idea of wanting a bigger, better ground with a growing fan base and competing against bigger and better teams in bigger better leagues equally repels.

I'd encourage and incentivise more and more new (and renewed) Blades in to the fold. They can too be just as diehard as the rest of us in time.

They did put them on sale a bit early. caught a lot of folk out. But you still have to make the effort to buy them. I know a lot of Blades who hover on the edge of going or not going. Want to go but have to choose which matches they can afford or able to attend. It's not about the Party. it's about the Blades. It's about seeing them over the line. IE, they have been to Hartlepool, Halifax etc but circumstances changed. I bet very few people at the last few games will never go again unless they really can't.

That's the irony. We get all these calls to expand the ground but if we did it would be full of supporters who didn't used to go regularly and new supporters.

And that's life, the more money you've got, the more opportunities and choice you have. There's only so much the club can do to counterbalance that and make it 'more fair'.

I don't mind fans who come back when the going is good. I just don't like ones who moan when they can't get a ticket especially for away games.

I am on 35k points but they seriously slowed down when my son came along almost 2 1/2 years ago. I couldn't get tickets on the away end at Northampton but neither did I think I deserved to either. I did however have my tickets already bought on the home end before our tickets came on sale knowing this.

Oh and if people can't get a ticket for chesterfield get one for Bradford!

" Bandwagon jumper, easily spotted they usually hum the songs rather than sing them. "

i've always been a sucker for good harmony Ooos and ahhhs. Hair raising I tell ya.

Just love it. Happy days. Bandwagoners, students, lapsed fans, returners to the cross, kids mates from next door wearing Man U shirts, people from Dore with friends up, t'owd lad who can't normally get, squaddies, international students, those young Asian lads on Vincent Rd kicking a tin on match days, wives, boyfriends, people from Mirfield or Belper, girlfriends, husbands, folk coming to Hallam Open Day folk, Middlewood u13s, Upperthorpe Residents association, Sisters of the Passion, refugees. ALL WELCOME. The more the merrier, spread the faith as the Blades go marching in.

My brother has jumped on it.

His last season ticket was the Premier League season. We got relegated, he didn't renew. He purchased half season tickets at Xmas. His words were "I'm not missing a promotion season end".
