After staggering out of the " pig and whistle " on a satdi night ( and I know it's not called that anymore) , young uns ask your da's , used to get a kebab from that place off Norfolk row , just up from crucible great for the bus home to mozzie .

That was the Bebek Kebab House mate, another place that sold top notch snap.
 
£2.40 special from kebabish on London Road. A mountain of kebab, chicken, roast spuds, chips and two pieces of southern fried chicken.

It was served in an unclosable pizza box and always ensured no hangover because your body had bigger things to deal with.

Then they ruined it by putting it up £2.50.
 
I would nominate an old school mate of mine who doesn't post on forums, but I think he is amongst the top loyalty points holders and he and I were in a group of lads that followed them together from the late 50s early 60s. If you know Cookie from Donnie you'll know who I mean. And if you do know him, ask him about the trip to Anfield on Good Friday 1968 ;)

...and you could also ask him why he's so lucky at pontoon, cost me a fortune at times :D
