Your record with VAR this season has everything to do with what you said.
" So, when a referee (individual) officiates a match of a historically successful club with some of the best, most expensive and highly paid players, ( a) - power/status) whom are hugely popular ( c) number exerting influence) and incredibly well supported in a large, modern stadium ( b) immediacy of the group / c) number exerting influence) then they are far more likely to follow the influence exerted on them I.e. give decisions in the group’s favour. "
The 'referee (individual)' that has officiated matches this season, have awarded more incorrect goals to Sheffield United, than any other side in the league.
At the beginning of the season, Sheffield United were in most predictions to finish bottom of the league. With one of if not the smallest wage budget in the league, and whilst I thoroughly enjoy my trips to Bramall Lane, it's not at this level a 'large, modern stadium'.
So why were Sheffield United benefiting from 'Social Impact' Theory, despite meeting none of the requirements?
