Absolutely what’s not to like? It’s one big tick from me. Now let’s start filling in a few more slots with similar quality. He got in the "EFL Team of the Play offs" : https://www.efl.com/news/2018/may/efl-team-of-the-play-offs/
As well as the League one team of the year.
Must have been before we beat Rotherham at their place in 1984 then because that was the first time I ever heard it, on the bus back to Sheffield. And it was definitely Magnet that they were singing. An old blade once told me that it got changed to magnet over time.
So there you have it

Despite conceding 2 goals in the PO final I thought he was really good really looking forward to watching him playMore than happy with this, did well for Shrewsbury last year from the highlights I saw.
The Blade that told me doesn't drink. He could thus hear the lyrics more distinctly. An even older Rotherham Blade, told me they first sung it and both versions were heard, cos they were normally pissed when singing it and some heard maggots and some heard magnet. The battle ensued, but there were more boozers than splodgers, so magnet it was.
Chris Wilder saidYou have to assume Blackman wanted to come back as he's not going to find a better club where he'd be first choice. So 2 conclusions...firstly the boss thinks Henderson is better or secondly Blackman was going to cost too much either as a loan fee and/or in wages.

Some good some bad Gray.......looks a bit George Longish to me.Disagree with that Chippy, I thought that he was outstanding in the POF, I said a the time I’d love us to sign him but didn’t I know that he was with ManU at the time mate. A bit young for a keeper but if he’s good enough he’s old enough.
I think it might have been more due to the inebriated state of the singers rather than the listeners.![]()
Ooooh baby
In an interview on the official Manchester United website the former Shrewsbury Town stopper has explained why he chose to join up with the Blades, rejecting the chance to come to Ashton Gate among other places.
A long-standing relationship between Manchester United and Sheffield United appears to have had a large bearing.
“I can’t wait to go there to build on the last season I had at Shrewsbury,” said Dean to ManUtd.com.
“It’s in the division above and showing that progression by going on to the next bigger stage, in front of 30,000 passionate fans at Bramall Lane. I can’t wait to go there and perform and connect with them. I’m sure it will be a successful season.
“Sheffield United are a massive club and it’s a massive city for football. They’ve got that rivalry with Sheffield Wednesday and I’m looking forward to those games coming up as well. I can’t wait to get there and push up the division.”
And specifically, why the move to Sheffield United rather than other clubs such as the Robins?
“There were a hell of a lot of loan clubs and I’m thankful to all of them for coming in,” Dean added.
“But I chose Sheffield United and a manager who has shown trust in me, plus a goalkeeping coach here in Wardy [Darren Ward], and I’m looking forward to learning and hopefully getting better and better.”
United have previously loaned Joe Riley and James Wilson to Sheffield United previously.
“Funnily enough I spoke to Joe last night about the manager,” Dean added. “He spoke really highly of him and, speaking to Chris Wilder, he has come across as really delighted to have me. It was a no-brainer and it gives me the platform to go there, play games and, hopefully, be a key part of the success there next season.
“I like the fact he’s a Sheffield lad and a Sheffield United fan. He is really passionate about where he wants the club to go and he wants hungry, ambitious young players to help him do that. It’s good as I’m an ambitious lad and, hopefully, we’ll hit it off well.”

Not much success so far with the worlds biggest club.

It’s got to be Magnet...who’d really fancy a gallon of Maggots FFS.
Whereas after a gallon of Magnet ale I would be well gone

Great first tweet as a United player:
Edit: Although it's packet not pocket!
I, for one, am buzzing!
