How do we convince players to sign when it's obvious the manager is going to be sacked very soon? Going to be extremely difficult to beat other clubs to signatures when they don't know who the new boss will be.

Knowing Selles will be gone soon could actually attract some playersHow do we convince players to sign when it's obvious the manager is going to be sacked very soon? Going to be extremely difficult to beat other clubs to signatures when they don't know who the new boss will be.
Managerial merry go round is nothing unexpected to players and they will jump at the chance to join a great club with a huge potential income and promotion success.
I know we've been awful so far this season (down to the manager/coach and his baffling system and unfathomable set-up) but football clubs can turn very quickly if the change is made quickly enough.

I’d take him at this moment.Very true. Until they find out the replacement is Bryan Robson
What's Nigel Adkins up to these days?Very true. Until they find out the replacement is Bryan Robson
Do you think any of the recent signings joined because of Selles? How do we convince players to sign when it's obvious the manager is going to be sacked very soon? Going to be extremely difficult to beat other clubs to signatures when they don't know who the new boss will be.

I was thinking this myself. How do we convince players to sign when it's obvious the manager is going to be sacked very soon? Going to be extremely difficult to beat other clubs to signatures when they don't know who the new boss will be.
I had to think whether he was still alive
Gary Cahill. Hardly mentioned as one of our best loan players but he was on a different level. In many respects Selles reminds me of Bryan Robson. The team he has available is so much better than the results produced and we are massively underachieving.
Its like Bryan Robson all over again and we had some top championship players then such as James Beattie and the lad from Villa (from Dronfield i think) on loan who was a centre half who ended up playing at Chelsea for years. He couldn't get a tune out of the team.as he was hopeless. Selles is the modern day Bryan Robson. Just like then, we could appoint any ordinary joe as next manager and we would look a different team (Blackwell took over from Robson and we suddenly became unstoppable and just missed out on the playoffs). We need to ensure we actually quickly though and don't let the season drift.
It so disheartening. Players might be inclined to sign if they know a decent managerial appointment is imminent.
Probably not, but them Wazza wouldn’t surprise me.Very true. Until they find out the replacement is Bryan Robson

One of the many reasons to sack Selles is that these two were clearly his picks along with Soumare. Bindon and Barry aren't at the level we need and he doesn't rate Soumare for whatever reason.Bindon and Barry. Sadly

Bardsley at RB, Naysmith LB, then Morgan, Killa, Cahill and Ugo at CB, yet we were crap defensively under Robson.Gary Cahill. Hardly mentioned as one of our best loan players but he was on a different level.
Which club is that, then?Managerial merry go round is nothing unexpected to players and they will jump at the chance to join a great club with a huge potential income and promotion success.

Conversely though it might encourage the potential want aways to stay. How do we convince players to sign when it's obvious the manager is going to be sacked very soon? Going to be extremely difficult to beat other clubs to signatures when they don't know who the new boss will be.
But I also think we still have a collection of very good players and managers will be queuing up to put this team on the straight and narrow, especially now they won’t be directly following Chris Wilder
