It is obvious that David Weir will be at the helm at BDTBL until Christmas at least and perhaps until the end of the season whatever the results.
I applauded his appointment as a move in the right direction, a footballer who should be able to make the step into management, a respected figure in the game that whilst not a superstar in the Bryan Robson mould as a player had played football for a long time at a reasonable level.
His initial performance has been nothing short of disastrous turning an ordinary side into a piss poor side, unable to motivate the players or the supporters, trotting out the same excuses week in week out, intransigent to the end by sticking to a style and formation that it is obvious we don't have the skill level, pace or speed of thought to execute!
We are currently third from bottom of a sh!te division now some 17 points behind the mighty Leyton Orient (managed by ex blade coach Russel Slade), 3 points above bottom placed Notts County ( the only side we have beaten this year) and behind Coventry City on goal average despite them not having a home ground, partly in administration and starting the season on -10 points.
It's a mess of the highest proportions, yet some of our clappers think it's a blip and we will be pushing for the play off come next April.
David Weir has a responsibility to the club, and it's supporters - we have put up with sh!t for the past 50 years with the occasional bright spot (odd promotions, semis, play offs) - usually they always ended in failure.
On Saturday Mr Weir we do not want to see replay of the last few sorry games where there is no heart, no passion and no commitment - we want to see 100% effort and fight!
And also Mr Weir, get your players and yourself to acknowledge the fans after the game win lose or draw - you owe that to the supporters at least
At present you come over as a first class TW*T, aloof and a couldn't care less what anyone else thinks attitude - you owe it to us to show that you care!
In your interviews you state that it hurts in the pit of your stomach when you lose - we've had that feeling for a long, long time Mr Weir - you're in a position to change it!
