Read that this morning. Not sure if he is the quality of player we should be looking at. Its a sign of the times financially I suppose. Nothing wrong with the lad but he's no more than a mediocre Championship/League 1 centre half. I would sooner see us go for someone young and more mobile.

Not a rumour as such, but notice that Scunthorpe have released David Mirfin. We probably still need one centre-half, and he's more than capable at League 1 level. Also a United fan. Seem to remember him doing well against us last year. As a freebie, who's better than Collins and 26, worth a look in my view.

Was wondering about that. I guess it depends on whether we are looking/able to shift Simmo, and how much we want Long to be involved next year.

I reckon some championship clubs will be sniffing around Murphy. He will probably end up being a number 2 somewhere, might even see him being a number 2 at Norwich or another similar side in the Premier League.
