I'm sure our champion owners will need the windfall for legal fees.

Indeed, the living within our means policy got us into league one and losing even more money. Only place it can work is with that premiership money.
I have the foundation and more. Nothing has changed from our failures other than Wilder. We still have the same men in charge that have run us badly for years.
I’m not saying they will leave, but you have to be able to plan long term. These are realistic outcomes. Point being we’re still on that knife edge.
They were robbedNorwich got £22m plus add ons for Maddison, no doubt with a sell-on as well
If he does go for 50 mill I don’t care about sell on clauses we should have held out for 50 million ourselves.
That wasn't the point though, was it?Maddison had proved himself far more in the championship than Brooks had.
As were United.They were robbed
He had three good games for usAs were United.
Good point. Absolutely no extenuating circumstances at all to that. Is it a different Brooks tearing up the Premier League and being linked with £50m moves to Man United? He had three good games for us
Spurs should get him and Bowen. They can flog the Danish lad then to Madrid for 100m, gave change and be sorted for the next 5 years until Madrid cone again.
Yes ,it's one that's played more than a handful a gamesGood point. Absolutely no extenuating circumstances at all to that. Is it a different Brooks tearing up the Premier League and being linked with £50m moves to Man United?

I’m not sure I understand your point. So his value isn’t relative to how good a player he is, but how many games he played last season?Yes ,it's one that's played more than a handful a games
Agree. And the original point was that £17m was the best a Championship club can hope for in a player. Maddison and Cairney disprove that theory somewhat and Brooks should have been up there in terms of feeAnybody would think that Bournemouth were buying potential and we should've priced that potential accordingly. Whatever next.
How can you know how good a player he is before he has played gamesI’m not sure I understand your point. So his value isn’t relative to how good a player he is, but how many games he played last season?
I saw him play games, with respect players don’t just appear in the first team. He always had that something extra that set him apart. How can you know how good a player he is before he has played games
In his appearances for us he showed glimpses of magic but was inconsistent and disappeared in games, Bournemouth took a gamble on his potential that's been fulfilled by him being fully fit after glandular fever and being played in his favoured position and now he is worth more
And i was one of the few on here campaigning for him to be involved for the first team after toulon and having to argue for days on end with the like a of Pinchy for days on end that he was good enoughI saw him play games, with respect players don’t just appear in the first team. but anyone who says they knew he would be a success is a liar
Then don't sell him. A bit like you valuing your house at £500k but selling to me 'cos I offered £100k and no-one else bid.And i was one of the few on here campaigning for him to be involved for the first team after toulon and having to argue for days on end with the like a of Pinchy for days on end that he was good enough
I also wanted him to stay and was gutted when he went to Bournemouth but anyone who says they knew he would be a success is a liar
No one did ,he was a risk and no body would have paid more than Bournemouth paid based on that
Thats not my decision its the managers and i think its turned out alright for all concernedThen don't sell him. A bit like you valuing your house at £500k but selling to me 'cos I offered £100k and no-one else bid.
PS, I knew and I feel a lot of others did. Guess it's all moot now, though.
It's turned out far better for Brooks and Bournemouth than UnitedThats not my decision its the managers and i think its turned out alright for all concerned
I too could see he had potential but after a mixed bag of a season for us his move up could have gone either wayThe first time me and about 3k Blades saw him was the pre-season friendly v Chesterfield where he picked up a ball in his own half, ran at the Chesterfield defence and scored a peach of a goal from about 18 yards.
Seriously - are you accusing Blades that day of being liars who couldn't see his POTENTIAL. It really was quite obvious the kid was something special and the only question was how far he could go and when he would go.
You have a strange choice of words at times.........liars indeed.
UTB
How so,? we are in the promotion chase with a stronger squad than when he was hereIt's turned out far better for Brooks and Bournemouth than United
Which was largely assembled without touching the money for Brooks, according to the manager. Would you say the move has worked out equally well for United as it has for DB and Bournemouth, who now have a £50m asset they signed for £11.5m last year? How so,? we are in the promotion chase with a stronger squad than when he was here
Seeing as you know everything, how much is our sell on clause?Which was largely assembled without touching the money for Brooks, according to the manager.
